I dug up this thread. Because its the best I`ve seen for the suggestion I have, and I see things like it here.
What would be the harm in having a special road upgrade to a railroad?
The project could require massive amounts of steel, wood, and iron. Once a track was completeed from one area to another. A train could be constructed with cars having the capacity of galleons, with far fewer cost...
Obviously railroads would be moumental achievements, probably not possible by 95% of societies at this point. But what is the harm? It could open up alot of trade on islands.
Railroads, telegraphs etc.....
