(Sorry if this has been suggested, I'd have thought it had been.)
We now have wooden shacks, mud and reed huts simple to make.
Could there be some simple stone one too, not needing any special tools?
Don't quite know what you'd call it, but I think, when you think of dry stone walling and the ancient stone structures of the RL world, it should be practical.

Just call it a drystone hut. They were still being built fairly recently (mainly as storage or animal shelters) as you can see in these links

The second shows a hut built in 1900 (which counts as pretty recent when you're talking of 'ancient stone structures
)

RD has discussed other primitive buildings in the past including stone ones
On the surface it sounds like a good idea but there are game balance concerns - make them too easy to build and there is a proliferation of them (see mud huts and to a lesser extent shacks )
Until such time as there is a means to destroy/demolish buildings or signage I'd personally not want to see this happening with yet another building type.

Moved to rejected as it is a duplicate of an Accepted Suggestion
The reason for not going through with was exactly the reasoning as Chris mentioned. The primitive cultures are getting screwed over because the advanced regions don't want crummy primitive buildings that they can't get rid of.
Building demolition will bring a flood of changes to the game.
