Multiple note selection - Dup of Implemented Suggestion

Postby Solfius » Sun Jul 20, 2003 10:45 am

It would save a lot of time and effort if you could pick up notes (and maybe objects) all at once by slecting check boxes and clicking a button like "pick up selected notes" the same with passing notes, dropping notes, putting notes into envelopes, and maybe even copying them.

What does everyone think?

Notes theives and others would benifit. Yes, this would be nice.

I was thinking of a "hit all" button once but thought better of it.

This would be especially helpful in your inventory, just like you can do in an envelope. And note theives do it anyway and use up bandwith...so why not just make it easier and save bandwith if they are gonna do it anywho?

I've often relied on the fact that I can click on several notes before the new page loads... :) But being able to put many notes in the same envelope simultaneously would be great.

I agree with this idea. Huh come noone thought of it before? lol...it would deffinately save bandwidth. Ive often found myself wanting to pick up more than one note or item.....but having to go back to the page cuz the other has loaded.

Only if the message that said who picked up what included everything. It would just be as mysterious as before though. "Rob picked up 2 notes and some wood." No indication on how much wood or which notes. maybe that needs to be changes. Different amounts of resources would be like ages. Just a general number like "a few hundred grams." Something like that. Maybe even "a little bit." And shouldn't we be able to see which note is picked up? I mean, we're all in the same area/room. It's like not knowing whether someone was reading a dictionary or a comic book.

you can see someone reading a book, but not always what book they're reading.

and yes, Seeing how many notes they took would have to be included as well, good thinking

I like this idea, I think it could also apply to something else too. Like being able to hand multiple things in your inventory as well. (maybe that was said and I missed it.)
