Help this person (with dragging!)

Postby Nixit » Sun May 28, 2006 5:55 am

The button that says should be changed to say "Help this person with dragging" or something of that nature. I believe that this confuses many new players, in that they believe they can help others on projects other than dragging.

I did a brief search, and I didn't see any duplicates of this?

It was my understanding that this was recently changed such that clicking the button actually does help with other projects. I would have to go look myself, but that is what I remember.

The new button reads (Join this person's project" which would seem to render the original "Help" button redundant.

Moved to rejected suggestions

As Talapus says the functionality of the button was changed a few months ago - Clicking on it joins the the project of that person - whether it's a normal project or a dragging task

Kind of related, I think it should show the dragging project next to the person who started its name. It can be confusing because it doesn't even look like they're working on a project, and sometimes you don't know if someone else has started it aleady and you should help them, or if you should start dragging the person yourself...I remember being confused by this, and I've seen other people with the same problem, and when you're trying to get somebody locked up before they leave town you don't always have time to sit down and explain the game mechanics.

I got a question while were on this subject....If a person is being dragged to 2 seperate places by at least 2 seperate people do they split in half? Serious question.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

When someone is being dragged, if another person tries to drag the target person, they get a message "That person is already being dragged by {what-his-name}" and they don't get to drag him, and are not automatically joined to the dragging project.

Perhaps after we domesticate horses, we can get that fixed to where at least four dragging projects can exist for one person.

Muhahaha!
Reality was never my strong point.

Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."
