About docking

I will post a suggestion made by Cantryjczyk on polish forum, which was very liked by players. I will try to translate it as best as I can:

Currently a ship which starts docking to another ship or coast just stops. Docking takes from 1 to couple of hours depends on ship's speed and distance to the coast. It can not be stopped. No one outside knows that ship is docking even if he/she watchs it. No one inside knows that ship is docking, unless he/she checks appropriate menu or a char who starts docking tell him about it.

In my opinion, in the location which ship is docking to, should appear a statement, as well as inside the ship.

1. (harbour)

xxxx.xx : You see (Merchant Ship) starts docking to (Harbour)

xxxx.xx : A man in his twenties says: "A ship is docking to our harbour, I know them, they are merchants. I'm sure they have honest intentions. Let's prepare for a trade.

2.(harbour)

xxxx:xx : You see (The Black Pearl) starts docking to (Harbour_

xxxx:xx : Elder says: Help! They're comming back! Women and wounded hide into shelter, warriors prepare fro battle, in first line everyone with shields, move sleeping to a safe place. We gonna welcome them with a rain of arrows!

3. (Big Ship)

xxxx:xx You see (Longboat) trying to dock into (Big Ship)
xxxx:xx You see (Longboat) trying to dock into (Big Ship)
xxxx:xx Commander says: *watches the see" That longoat is fallowing us. What do you think, should we stop and let them dock? We could see what they want.

Making docking visible would make game more realistic. Movement of ships will not be so suprising as it is now.

I agree.

For the record, people in the "town square" should also see if someone docks to their coaster harbour/landing stage. Currently, they don't even see it when docking is complete.
