Seeing distance to lighthouses, harbors etc...

(I searched for this. Was quite surprised that I didn't find anything.)
At current, you can see the direction to other places from a boat. Shouldn't you be able to see how far away they are too? Especially in the case of lighthouses (which I assume can be seen from quite far away).

To temper the suggestion a bit, (no offense implied Hellzon), if not an exact measurement but perhaps a slightly vague distance.

You see SomeLightHouse, quite nearby, at direction 99.
You see SomeOtherLighthouse very far away at direction 23.
You see a man in his thirties going back to hide now....

Maybe with a tool or something, you could see the exact distance?

Cantrians need some more navigational tools, other than the handy fact of always knowing which way is north.

Sextant and compass.

Hmm, approximate distances work too. As long as one can tell if that lighthouse is just outside the map or on the other side of the island.

/Hellzon - likes the sexant too

I like this idea, especially the 'tempered' version. The instruments could be a later addition as well.

And it was implemented!? Do you have ProgD locked up in a small room working 24/7 on Cantr or what!?

/Hellzon - mucho pleased. Now if someone would translate the approximations to unit ranges on the wiki... ;)

It's not implemented yet.
As it's not in the implemented forum yet.
