Adding gas to cars is realistic but itwould change everything to much, why not just leave cars the way they are and make airplanes need fuel? (when we get airplanes)

Vehicles are being changed. This was a plan for years now that has just recently been implemented. You should see some non-metal vehicles that don't require a fuel soon to counter this measure.

*thinks that cars will now be much, much rarer to find in running condition* Cantr's gonna be full of fuel-requiring vehicles on blocks now! :P Or on chunks of timber... Whatever..

Anyway, I don't like it; I don't agree with it, and it's for the same reasons as the other people don't like it.

The more you push for realism in every minute (itsy bitsy) aspect, the less fun the game will become and it will become all about worrying about how to survive the mechanics of the game instead of playing the game and enjoying it. Remember, it's Cantreality, not plain old reality!

And yes, sometimes those balances just don't work. You try and try but they never come out right. Though I am impressed with the slow introduction of the food rates, etc. Foot-in-the-door, that's the way to go.

 NO FUEL!!! *curses the attempts to make thing so difficult* So.. between the neverending tool repairs, fuel will need to be refined, and food needs to be cooked to be efficient... Change is good, but .. what next.. Flat tires?

Plus, I read somewhere that soon vehicle deterioration will be implemented. LEAVE OUR MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALONE!!!!!!!!!!

Promises of non metal vehicles and tame animals are MEANINGLESS.

Implement them, and I'll be THE FIRST to trade in my dirt bike for a pony.

Make it happen, otherwise you're just talking, making promises like a politican, and very nearly being a LIAR.

Actions speak louder thans words.

The idea stinks.

I understand that programing has been working very hard on this, and eventually it could be implimented...I just don't think now is the time. Cantr is not ready for it. The ability to make fuel should most certainly made first, with a diverse range of fuel types. and it need to be done ebough in advance, that what ever is needed to make it, can be prepared for... otherwise, there will be stranded vehicles all over...

Can we have full tanks of fuel when it's first implemented?

Yes, we have planned on giving plenty of advance notice before introducing the change and obviously want to get the processing machinery all set up as soon as possible so people can start preparing. I also mentioned to Jos that all the motorized vehicles should get a full tank before the change over too.

Sho and Agar....

I take your point, I should have clarified my point in the first place.

fuel is a stupid idea, Jos just had a thread asking why cars are rare just a few weeks ago, this is just adding another reason not to own one, they will become even more rare, and quite frankly suck

Create whales and allow us to hunt them for the blubber which we boil into fuel...then I might like it.

I am sure we can arrange that for everyone. :)

Can those charries without cars still have the full tank of gas for that future car that they will someday build? :P
