Could be quickly made out of beeswax and some yarn or string. What they'd be needed for is a whole another question, but at least for rp purposes.

It's already been concluded that it's daylight all the time. Even in buildings.
The sun shines off of bracers 8 hours a day, 20 days a year. Inside or outside.

So you're saying that cantrian light is like flatland light?

No, you have concluded that, Nick, from a ridiculous clothing description. As I said before, the wording on that piece of clothing needs to be altered.
I love the idea of candles. Very simple, and the first source of man- (cantrian) made light. Should definitely be available long before electricity comes into the game. And would add a nice ambiance to a room.

But light doesn't actually do anything. Where would it be displayed, anyway? Or is the only effect of a candle to be visible on the Objects page?

No, someone else concluded that first and I agreed. Provide some evidence to the contrary? People are awake at all times of the day, and the sun is clearly, always up.
There are no Cantrian nights.

I think I heard this somewhere, don't quote me on it I might be wrong, but didn't somebody say that the world is double-curved or something to that effect, so you could sail in a straight line and arrive where you started? If the world is really round it'd have to rotate or else we'd have eternal night on one side of the world. I'm probably over-analyzing this, though

Cantr doesn't have to make sense according to the real world.

The half of Cantr with no bracers, maybe?

You're under the assumption that there is only one source of light (a sun) in the cantrarian universe ratm. For all we know there could be 10 sources of light revolving around the cantr world thus providing eternal light.
But if candles are made...torches should be made too. Not for specific weapons to really hurt someone because I don't think they should be able to do much damage, but more like them being placed at the entrance of a town, or used to burn down a building...or who knows...maybe even one day used to see inside a cantr cave.
If they are used for a weapon, you should make there be a chance that someone gets burned by a torch. Thus increasing the need for doctors.

1302-5: You enter Dark Building, where you see 0 people, leaving Twisty Little Passage (All Alike).
1302-5: It is dark in here. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

They could always make some actions more visible... like that clothing removal everyone wants. Have a candle, see people take off their knickers. That seems fair.
(Note that this is not an entierly serious suggestion on my part.*

Mabey a cadle could be used to see more things in the descripion like the hunger of people and possible tell you what they had in there invromentry
the man hold 200g of carots
a note -hello-
a hamer
it could also tell you what people are doing like you see a man in his twenties take a note -laws- rather than just you see a man in his tweties take a note

I take again this thread, because I love the candles, i think that it would be simple to implement them and would have several advantages, like many options in roleplay, but also give use to the beeswax, other than for making a beehive.
It might use, as said Seko, beeswax and a string. Only it would be a question of molding them with the skill of manufacture, to leave it to dry and finally to use it.
We might have even several options, mixing different types of flowers or herbs and even honey to make them aromatic.
