well, you could have a primiave book, witch has nothing exept a bit of string holding som notes together.
and ofcours, a letherback, witch you would have to use lether.
and you could use hide.

Augery wrote:I see it as being like a ringbinder, ie you can put notes youve written into and out of the book, probably using the put in envolope button. Then when you go to examine it you open up to the first page, then have next page, previous page buttons to navigate the book.

Also a go to page # button would be nice, I dont like the idea of pushing next page 20 odd times to get to the info im after

How about having an automatically generated contents page, similiar to the list of notes in an envelope, but with the page number next to each one, so you know which page you want.

And as for creating it in the first place, the order in which you add the notes becomes the page order.

nah, we actually need a book.

you start a project, making book, all you need is a needle, and som lether, or hide. or just a needle. and then you can put notes in this, and the first note in will be the first page.

Great idea, Pie. I came up with this ages ago, but no-one agreed with me. I think this would be great... much more useful than envelopes.

Maybe a limit to the size of envelopes as well?

or..NOW HERES AN IDEA! we can just put in one large note, and the note will be cut up and put into the book based on the amount of hide put into the project.like, if only 100 grams of hide was put into the project, you could have..say,, 20 lines of writing. but if you put in 500, you would have 50 lines of writing in one page, and and like, 1000 pages for 500g of hide, and, like that.

That's a horrible idea, pie. Let's throw out an example. Say you put in some HTML for a map, and it just HAPPENS to get cut into two parts, some of the HTML on one page, the rest on the next. The system won't determine where to cut it...

You can have books already! Just try to use some imagination and HTML! I saw note like that on Polish island, and there are two tables, one on left have menu with links, and when you click on one link, then you will scroll the note to other part of note. I can give you example code tomorrow, because I'm out of time.

hmm. you have a point.

but what would stop somone frome haveing one note that is like..10000 lines long in a book?

Notes have a maximum size, I think. If so, that would be a clear advantage of a bound book containing multiple notes.

so.... when is this going to be put into implumented?

I hope that never :P Because it is not needed. If there is size limit of note, then you can make "book" from notes in many volumes.
