Docking Cancellation

I'm so frustrated that you can't cancel a docking procedure. My character is in the slowest boat ever created, and is docking at a place quite a distance away, it will take DAYS to get there, DAYS to dock, DAYS to get back... at least 1.5 Cantr years, seriously. All because I misclicked.

So, can there PLEASE be some form of docking cancellation button? Really? I'm sure we all want it.

Oh, on another note, could there be a way to define the difference between a boat and a building on the docking form? (For example, put the type of boat after the name on the list of docking things, so that you can tell the difference of a coaster-harbour/landing stage and a boat? And, maybe some value for how far that thing is away from you, too? And what direction it is in relation to you, so you can follow something? That'd be nice. But for sure - DOCKING CANCELLATION, PLEASE, PLEASE!)

If it can't be implemented, any possibility of cancelling the docking project manually for me? I really don't want to have a full real time month wasted trying to get this boat back home, all because I accidently hit the wrong button. Sure, when you walk on the wrong path, it won't take long to turn around and stuff, you can correct yourself. You can't with boats, it sucks :(

You can, however, put a lock on your boat...

Okay, so they can still talk to you and kill you...

And break your lock if they have the proper tool...

Point being: In real life, one boat just came up to the other, and boarded ship that way. Even though Jos defined docking as "The act of one ship being lifted onto the deck of another", just pretend that it came up beside you, and somehow lifted themself up onto you? Haha

And there is a way, if you move. When your boat moves, it cancells anyone docking onto you. Of course, if they happen to be at the same spot as you, and they dock, it's instantanious. For example, when a pirate undocks from land, and the authorities jump into a boat and undock as well, as long as they undock at the same location the pirates did, they'll be at the SAME location, and be able to dock instantly.

Assuming, of course, that the pirates use a ship that can be docked with...

Also...

I don't think this means another ship docking with her...I think it means someone on her ship keeping her from getting clear of land.

Does this mean that when a boat is docked to you, it affects how fast you're sailing? Does it add the weight of the boat to the cargo of the bigger boat?

If so... some of these boats are massive!

(And that would by why I'm moving so slowwwwwwlyyyyyy.)

One would assume that, but I don't believe that's the case.

Why?

When you build a building, and a room inside of that building, the size of the room doesn't take up space in the main building. So, why would a boat docking to a landing-stage, or to another boat, take up room?

I don't think it does...

Maybe she was the thief and "the idiot" persued her onto her boat and is trying to get back to his?
