Lace

So... Lace! Something that, in my opinion, pairs beautifully with silk. And this could also get cotton more love as well. I was going to suggest lace as a whole, like denim, but a friend talked me into simply suggesting lace items because many may already use lace with the new descriptions. So here are some suggestions to add for new clothing options using lace that would be made using cotton yarn before the cloth stage. However, I do think any item, especially more elaborate items like a wedding dress, should take much more time than a simple cotton or denim dress. Each item could be described differently and with the many, many types of lace, each item could truly be unique.

1. Lace dresses

Questions? Thoughts? Concerns? Ideas? And sorry this is so huge... I couldn't decide between pictures because there was just so much to sift through!

I noticed a fair number of silk items use lace. I wouldn't be opposed to having more cotton versions.

I think this is fully incredible. However, I think that all the production times should take a full three times longer!! That'd bring the dresses to a huge 15 days, and the wedding dresses to a staggering 30, which, I think, is more accurate and would make these much more valued clothing items.

Some of the smaller things, like the shoes and bras, however, should probably only be doubled.

Thanks, Kicking Jay! And yes... I knew it should definitely take more time than normal cotton clothes but was uncertain how long to actually make them. I wouldn't oppose doubling or tripling the times.

I wonder if wedding dresses could have 1000 chars of descriptions...

I would suggest and appreciate the things listed as wedding things here to instead be "Long lace gown" and "Long lace veil" or something like those, for two reasons.
1: They should be easy to use for other things besides weddings.
2: I've read of people being annoyed how close Cantr weddings for some unexplainable reason always are to Earth weddings, and calling things "wedding" things adds fuel to that fire. (It irks me a little too if you're wondering, just not enough to complain about.)

This is similar to how words like "fishing" are also taken out of clothes names, even though fishing in Cantr isn't annoying to anyone as far as I know (at least as a concept, but surely someone finds the rates odd. I don't if you're wondering).

My original post and the poll has been edited to incorporate the change in name.

1. Yay! More clothes!
2. Yes, for most of these, a silk option will be nice :D
3. For the two wedding items, I probably wouldn't call them 'wedding' though. Maybe Elegant [Cotton/silk] Gown? Or maybe the wedding dress can be made out of a combination of cotton and silk? That'll make those tailors bald even earlier!

Edit: Oh... too late to the party, I guess. I actually wouldn't use Long Lace Veils because there's short ones too, as indicated by the photos. I suppose the Long Lace Gown could work. I'm only thinking about all those brides who would like to wear a shorter dress! But maybe there can be a separate entity for that. Who knows. Regardless - yay, more clothes!

Thank you very much, Jack. If that was about my main post.

And Tangential, I think if someone wanted to make a "wedding" dress but wanted it shorter, they could maybe just make the normal lace dress and customize it as such in the description. Or go through the making of the actual one but detail it as being shorter.

Lace panties should be called lace knickers to keep it consistent with what already exists in the game.

Original post was edited again to reflect the name change of Lace panties to Lace Knickers and Long Lace Veil to Lace Veil.

If this gets accepted, I suggest a new tool called a set of bobbins, which is made of wood using a carving knife. It could also use a set of pins which could be made of either just plain iron, or iron/steel and a bit of glass. A pillow could also be used as a tool, to give them a practical use besides sparring.

Very good idea. Still, I'd really like to give more functionality to crochet hooks...

Coming from a place that was once the centre of the world's lace industry.. I like all of this! And Seko's new bobbins and pins idea. I agree that it should take time to set up and significant time to make...
