Houseboats?

I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if you could add rooms to your boats? It would make it go slower or something, but you could travel with a bunch of people... Also, altough this has nothing to do with it, wouldn't it be cool to have multiple story houses? That way you could see people far away, and also you could drop stuff on peoples heads!

"You see an iron shield land on the head of a man in his twenties."

I think buildings on boats are possible, but they do something odd when they're done.

Odd you say? well someone do it and lets hear the results!
Very cool idea of multi-storey buildings because then you have stairs and stuff which is nothing amazing which is why I'll probably do something else now instead of thinking about Cantr, I'm starting to get twitches.... :x

It would solve the space porblem in Cantr 2.0. Maybe make the 2nd floor require more materials and the third require even more since your saving space which is valuable.

I think that someone once built a room on a boat and the boat wouldn't move because the room was a fixed object...that was a while ago however...anyone know of a boat stuck somewhere with a room in it? Would be nice to have some sort of storage on the boats.

I would be insteresting to see what would happen if you built a row boat in a larger boat.

Did anyone ever try this and what where the results? I'd hate to do this and not be able to move my boat :?:

Like I said last time someone tried it didn't fare to well but since none of the Cantr staff have said anything to stop you then I think it would be fine. Just use common sense, you probably can't build a building on rowboat or even a long boat (if they are the boats that the Vikings used). The bigger boats you would probably be able to.

I'm building a building in a row boat with one of my characters right now. So far it's coming along fine. The project is only at 44% right now though. You'll hear from me if the boat is destroyed from it though as it isn't even my boat and it would suck to have to make a new one.

Good luck but I have the feeling it isn't going to work or if it does now it won't be too long in the near future where it won't work because of a change. :)

The Chinesse have something the likes already and have been using it for years. I don't see why it couldn't work. Althou it should be made of wood not stone. and any way have you checked the convertion of 25kg of stone its like only 56lb  That means I could lift my whole longboat with one arm

It's true, I pull about 30Kg on the weight machines, so I can lift up entire buildings in Cantr
