Just rename envelopes "folders" then.

What about those of us who occasionally seal our envelopes?

The ability to seal envelopes has been removed unless you're using sealing wax. If that's the case, you can seal the folder.

And what is sealing wax made of?

I must have missed that announcement. Why was it removed? It was a nice way to send messages.

It was bugged feature, which caused many problems. We'll think about something instead of it.

I'd love to use sealing wax, but it's one of the hardest things in the game to make.

Sealing wax is really a status symbol in my opinion.. People who use it, are like nobles to me!

For once I won't pick a fight with madfish, because I think this is an incredible idea.

And no, just keep calling them envelopes. I see no reason to change the name

My char has sealing wax... along with tons of silver, gold and other rare materials. It's not hard to make it in Polish Zone.

Bump, because it's great suggestion. Some of my chars have sealing wax and will be glad to see new ways to use it.

Another bump, because I have idea how to extend this suggestion.
Not only make viewing notes possible, but also add possibility to empty envelope inside of envelope. After clicking the button it would show content of that inside envelope and give possibility to move notes from the inner envelope to the outer envelope. It would make using note system MUCH easier

I am agree with this ideas.
