If you really wanted to go that way I would much prefer something like:

50% Hunger: Pale
75% Hunger: Weak
90% Hunger: Near Death

Rather than anything relating to the weight of a person. Like I said before it's possible to die of starvation and still be fat.

Yet far more reasons a person might look pale or weak. No, I like the descriptions already suggested as they describe how someone is most likely to appear when not eating for those lengths of time, and they are not likely to look that way for any other reason.

I agree with the original suggestion as well. I feel that making it easier for characters to save other characters from starving takes priority over a biological logic that doesn't even necessarily exist in other aspects of Cantrian health (i.e. healing from a near-death to a perfect state of health instantly).

But we could even do it like this. Very straightforward, but more logical.

50% = He looks hungry.
75% = He looks emaciated.
90% = He looks like he's near death.

If you are obese/fat/thin at the start of those four days you will still be obese/fat/thin after four days of starvation. What you seem to be talking about is a consistently inadequate diet over a longer period.

That's dehydration, and true if you have neither food nor water. From what I've consistently read, if you at least have water, you can make it for something much closer to a month before you'll starve to death.

It's something like 3-5 days without fluids, 3-4 weeks without food. At least that's what I've heard.

In boy scouts, they had taught us "the rule of 3":
You can live without oxygen for three minutes
Without adequate protection from harsh environment for three hours
Without water for three days
Without food for three weeks.

And this can be implemented in 3 months?

GreeK is working on the people page at the moment. I think we will have a first version of injury, hunger and working status rather soon.

Oh, that's awesome. I should move this to Accepted then?

Yes. It will probably be a hunger icon visible at a certain % hunger, and then tool-tip/mouse-over to see the state.

Really? I didn't know that. :D Update which is ready doesn't include many states of starvation, it could be added in the nearest future. (but after release of the original "improve the people tab" suggestion)

Implemented.

EDIT: uhm, can any admin move that to implemented suggestions?
EDIT2: thanks.
