Missing oneself is an implausibility, but it doesn't really have a strong effect on the game. Still, if we have the chance to fix this cosmetic issue when the combat system is overhauled, we should do it.

It is very hard to strike yourself as effectively as you can strike someone else.

Well, it depends on your determination how hard and how well you hit. We can't really simulate the human factor with game mechanics.

It is also impossible to miss yourself unless you mean to. Or are a tyrannosaurus rex. Whatever.

Hmm. Where does this come from then?
[name] is my character who is very weak, while [man] is very strong, or at least strong. This is not flipped.
Snickie's char wrote: 3147-1: [man] expertly hurts you using a waster. You lose 0 percent strength. You expertly saved 19 percent using your iron shield.

3147-1: [name] expertly hurts you using a waster. You lose 0 percent strength. You expertly saved 25 percent using your iron shield.
[man] did use full strength because his tiredness was at 15% after the attack, and before it had been at zero.
Am I being paranoid and it's supposed to happen like this, or is this an actual contradiction to your statement, EchoMan?

In real life, not in Cantr.

But if you're intent on doing damage to yourself, you don't use the same techniques. You wouldn't swing your arm around and try to decapitate yourself or something. A determined suicidal person would probably brace a sword against an object like a wall, and let gravity punch the blade under their sternum.

Or, you could just slit your wrists or stab yourself in the stomach (a shorter blade would work best).
You can't hang, drown, suffocate, or poison yourself or others in Cantr either.

That non-green shit I have to deal with a lot lately.

You see a man in his 20s commit harakiri.
You see a man in his 20s drop some guts.

The thing is if someone is going to throw themselves upon their sword, it would only take a single hit, not chopping yourself four or five times. You can't chop yourself. I hear swords, at least the big, heavy, chopping kind, are actually dull because otherwise you would hurt yourself. Light things like katanas and rapiers are different. If someone throws themselves down on their sword, it might take a while before it sinks in if it gets stuck on something and it's not sharp enough and you're not pressing down on it heavily enough, but it certainly shouldn't take days. It would also be a good way of executing prisoners quickly, by giving them a weapon and telling them to kill themselves if they want the honorable way out. Also when someone cuts open their stomach, death is caused by the loss of pressure in the chest, caused by the guts falling out.
