It doesn't seem right that you can miss hitting yourself. :/

I'm almost positive that this was "fixed" quite a long time ago. I guess it wasn't.

How long ago? I had a newspawn on day 3014 who missed when she attacked herself.

That char often misses when attacking themself. I have another who usually bypasses their own shield and does maximum damage.

2 out of the 4 times I've attacked myself, it has resulted in a miss.

It has always been possible to miss while hitting oneself. The chance is the same as when attacking someone else. If a character appears to miss all the time or half the time, or another one always happens to get past their shield, it's only due to a limited number of random "throws" and if they were to hit themselves a hundred times, the results would be more likely to follow the percentages set in the game settings.

I swear I remember the accepting and implementing of not missing ones-self. I swear. Well, I agree, you shouldnt miss one's self.

Suggestions moved to accepted suggestions imply that it will be implemented eventually. So the answer is: Yes, probably sometime in the future.

From what I have read, there are two issues here, RP self harm, which I have both seen and participated in, and a genuine wish to IC or OOC have a char die.

RP self harm does not need an outcome, it is a statement in it's self, wanting to die? well 15 chars? how often does a fast death add something to the game? Drop all your food, beat yourself as best you can, irritate others (not that effective in most places) or ask them to help (not that effective).

Travel, so no one can hand you food, pay attention so you can drop it when you receive it. As much as I would like to pretend not to be elitist, if you want to die you can find a way. Is this a problem that we need to fix?
