How did it used to be before implementing fuel? ;)

Piscator, I think that not really that difficult, but you are able to "fuel" cars with water in real world, shall we change it in Cantr?

Sorry, I think I was unclear about what I meant. I didn't mean the thing about putting only gas in a tank, but the original idea of locking the tank with the same key as the car. How complicated would that be?

Turned around if they turned the car around, never had any problems with them stealing all the fuel making the car go at a snails pace.

In any case, would this feature be hard to program?

Well, considering that containers of any kind currently can't be locked, I would imagine there's some kind of bizarre, Cantr technicality that needs to be overcome.

Well, it's probably easier since it would be a very special case as the engine would "borrow" the car's lock, while regular locked containers would have to have an own lock.

That would make the matter slightly different, if it were designed only for gastanks lock. It shouldn't be very difficult, though demands some time. First, I have to finish these machines, fortunately it is going well.

First, I think if we can implement lockable containers, we should do this.

Second, that means gas tanks can be locked like any other container - you could just make the key for them the same as the key on the car for simplicity's sake. Of course, this gets complicated when someone breaks off the car lock - you then need two keys when you put a new lock on. So, really, this would only work for the key that was in use at the time the engine was built, but it's still better than nothing.

could make the gas tank unbreakable until the vehicles lock is broken...

On your second point, can't we make it as simple as this? :
If car is locked, gas tank is unaccessable.
Car unlocked, gas tank accessable.

That saves multiple keys...

Wierd...
returner does have a point. That might be the best way...

But with that option when more fuel is needed the character might be vulnerable when opening the vehicle lock to reload the gas tank.

Sorry, I mean that if you have the key, you can access it while locked too, just like a building (You don't have to unlock a building to get in)

And how exactly is this different fromt the idea that has been discussed all along?

It sounded better the second time around.
