A museum would be sooo cool. Do they have one anywhere? Like in Quillanoi or some other equally boring place?

I'm bumping this one because it's the closest thing and mentions partially what i was thinking of.

In the descriptions of dead bodies, it currently says something along the lines of "His death seems to have been caused by steel broadsword"

Really? And people can tell exactly what weapon inflicted the damage just by staring at it?

My suggestion is for generalisations based upon the weapon type. For example:
"His wounds suggest his death has been caused by a swinging weapon" (Axe- type weapons)
"His wounds suggest his death has been caused by a strike from a long-bladed weapon" (Swords and Sabres)
"His wounds suggest his death has been caused by a short-bladed weapon at close range" (Daggers)
"His wounds suggest his death has been caused by a projectile fired from a distance" (Bows)

This way it's also more interesting from a roleplay perspective that if you didn't see the action take place, then all you have is the marks on the body. And it doesn't really make for good fun if 5 people in the town have swords or sabres. Yet you know exactly who did it cos you've identified it to be a steel broadsword which only one person has.

I think it would be good if the bodies could have a description on it if the person was killed due to violence.
It could simply say "dead body, with marks of violence" or something of the likes.

In that way murders and conspiracies would be easier to solve, and in a more realistic way. Someone who has been locked up with another person and killed them with a sabre shouldn't be able to get away by saying that the other guy had a heart attack :)

In the long run it would be cool if poisons were implemented, so that you could kill people and make it look like they passed away from natural causes.

Haven't something like this been suggested before? *thinks*... Yes, wasen't it about investigation? Fingerprints and what they really died of?

Look at the date on that post. That original suggestion has already been implemented.

Yeah but would you fix it now that it shows the type of weapon, since it only says "seems to be hit with a ." I think a separation of blunt object versus sharp object would be sufficient. Exept what about whips? The last piece of flesh ripped from their back or possibly strangulation?

Is this now in 'Implemented' because you've put in my suggestion, or because you haven't read it and think that page one was the reason it was bumped?

I placed it in the implemented forum because the original suggestion was implemented. You suggestion is a seperate entity and you should make a thread for it in the suggestion thread.

Well what's the point in telling people to use old threads with similar queries if you're going to just ignore the new parts?

Normally people are supposed to use their ideas to help shape ideas that have not been accepted, and make them into reasonable ones. This thread should have been in the accepted forum before your post, however it was your post that brought it to my attention, and thus I moved it.

How would you do fingerprints though? I mean what would at say? "Fingerprints of a man in his twenties.". How would that help you?

Some form of individual code for each character that could be read in fingerprints and on people's fingers.... however I'm geting the message this should be discussed in another thread!

Fingerprints... why not a kit for genetic identification? You know, some rubber, some steel, one gene sequencer, and a screwdriver...

Or better than that (it's an old suggestion):

¡¡¡¡¡Heads on stakes!!!!!

¡¡¡¡¡Dismembered corpses!!!!!

And while were splicing genes, how about sub-machine guns, so we have a reason......
