I also have other stuff consuming my time so it's better not to make any promises.

Wish I knew programming... SQL is what's being used right?

SQL is not really a programming language, it's for writing queries to do stuff with the database. PHP is what Cantr is coded in, but naturally SQL queries play an essential part in how the game works.

I agree - no dynamic naming in this instance, just the label. (Not for the reasons you give, but for different ones - it's just unnecessary, and much more the the DB to keep track of).
Piscator wrote:...to make a bottle with the label already attached, just like you do it with cars and buildings. That way the first label wouldn't cost any additional time and relabeling could have a fixed duration of let's say one day, which would make it sufficiently difficult to cause mischief.
This is what we have so far. It goes hand in hand with the character self-descriptions, at least conceptually. We could even apply the description abuse report button to this implementation as well. I think the most widely desired use of this would be in labeling clothing. Even if the label can't be seen while the character is wearing it, the player can always copy the label into their character's custom description. This is great, because then you have a hard-coded backup for the character's custom claim (i.e. you can pull the clothes off the corpse, and they are described the same as the player described them while the character was living).

Labels for bottles:
I was thinking in giving your bottled beverages a unique "seal of the house" using a label machine when making bottles. A coin press machine type, where you add a name when building it that no one else will use in other bottle label machine, but with the difference that it's only there like anvils, etc. This way you would still be able to make bottles if you don't have one, but having one will make them with a label when finished.

Naming crates and barrels and containers

As the title says, quite simply:
I'd like to be able to name any crates barrels and containers I make.
Make them editable the same way as buildings and vehicle names are changed.

I believe this is covered by the "signs & labels" suggestion that is somewhere around here.

I searched for 'crates' 'barrels' 'containers' 'naming' 'name' 'names' And nothing came up, I haven't got the time to search through fourty pages

Anyway, is is hard to implement this change that it hasn't been done yet?

I found it, and I shall patiently await the change. As I don't have the time to read through this forum, you can imagine I don't have the time to help out either, sorry

I'm donating though. Anonymously
