Visibility of changing ship course

Postby Fieger » Sat Sep 05, 2009 5:45 am

My character has got boat with few another characters on board. Two or more characters has played stupid game: "Where we want sail today". That made sailing almost impossible. I wish to hmm...take care of this characters but I don't know who are they.

In reality we can see when someone use rudder. In Cantr we can see when someone dock/undock ship, but we can't see when someone change course of boat.
I have a cunning plan...

I agree. It should be visible who is changing the course.

Yes indeed. Maybe the same with vehicles.

This seems like a pretty simple and obvious one, I'm surprised no one had brought it up before. I'm betting it would also take like five seconds to impliment.

So...accepted? :)

Not in Cantr. It first has to be discussed here and then it has to be discussed somewhere else and then some people have to nod their head and then someone has to be bothered to do it and then it has to be approved and by then people probably forgot about it and wait for the same routine to restart by someone bumping the topic.

Thought about that earlier today but Didn't bother to suggest it because I thought someone already did.

joo agrees.

Although, this is so trivial it has most probably been suggested before at some point... however, I still agree.

I'd like to see this too. It kinda doesn't make sense you can see who docks, but not who changes course...THOUGH. I do enjoy the sneakiness of changing directions secretly!

Good point...maybe not having it light up your character would be a decent compromise?

Moved to accepted.

This seems simple enough to implement (ha) maybe I can claim this to be my first thing to code, as a chance to get used to the ProgD environment.

Go for it. You can bug BZR or Seko for whatever code you need.
