We need mirrors. RP items to start with, if we later want to add so you see your description in them, fine.

Edit: +1 posts are not allowed in the suggestion forums. It's hard enough as it is to get a grasp of most threads.

A message when looking in a mirror is cute, but with the description page overhauled, hardly necessary.

Using it to signal ships would be very nice.

How can this topic be abandoned from a while? We need mirrors.

I'll incorporate this in the furniture update. There won't be any function to it, but even as an RP item it should be very popular. I don't know how complicated we want these. At least a hand mirror and a furniture mirror. They can be described so no need to go into details.

Do we want mirrors with gold ans gems as well?

What material should be used? Silver or window glass? Personally I lean towards window glass.

I also lean toward window glass, but maybe both? I understand the Romans used polished metal sometimes.

Bronze mirrors were very common.

Modern mirrors are made from window glass with a thin silver layer on the back of the glass. Just like a telescope mirror, in fact.

Yes, and one of the beauties of Cantr is that it's not all modern. Primitive mirrors would be welcome in primitive places.

Polished bronze mirror

Since years some chars have been using iron shields as a kind of mirror. I think silver and steel would work fine too . Mirrors can be various like the soaps.

Obsidian can also be polished to a mirror-like finish, was used in ancient civilizations like the Aztecs.

Suggestion for polished obsidian mirrors, per Wiro's request for more obsidian objects!
