That would certainly prohibit primitive obsidian tools/weapons then. Salt is more then times as common as obsidian. Salt is actually fairly common in Cantr as a whole (along the same lines as hematite), while obsidian is exceedingly rare.

Making primitive and cheap stone tools and weapons?Yes,cantrians need this but decorated and expensive are interesting too.

Obsidian is rare?Maybe but a lot resources are rare,obsidian is good for this items and i find it in mountains on one island.
In real world obsidian wasn't used everywhere.

I wil remind it:

Obsidian Blade:
Obsidian 70, 2 day, hammer

Rough Obsidian Dagger:
Obsidian blade, 20 wood, 10 hide, 5 sinew, .5 day, knife

Polished Obsidian Dagger:
Rough Obsidian Dagger, 20 leather, 2 days, hammer, chisel, grinder

Obsidian Mace:
club, 5 Obsidian blades, 1.5 day, knife and hammer

Obsidian Sword:
waster, 3 obsidian blades, 1 day, knife and hammer

Obsidian Dagger:
Obsidian blade, small wooden hilt, .5 day, knife and hammer

Obsidian Spearhead:
Obsidian 50, 1.5 day, hammer (and chisel?)

Obsidian Spear:
Obsidian spearhead,medium wooden shaft: 3 days labor, hammer

You can also create copper tools so as the screwdriver, very perishable?

that is so cool thank you for the wiki link i never knew that obsidion had uses or even really what it was i thought it was a gem.

It's say a weapon would be nice a knew one either powerful due to sharpness or some to show rank like a diamond sabre.


But if it made very very good axes or knifes and such i would not be objectable never come across any in cantr tho

Of course, it's not just because of obsidian spear. Soon we'll have more uses.

I'm glad to see this topic.
Before he was updated in 2012 I quit Cantr and just now noticed this topic (but saw spear and jewlery earlier in game).

I hope that characters in region with obsidian are happy.
