Make corpses dragable from the outside of vehicles

Postby Nakranoth » Fri Jan 19, 2007 7:20 pm

I can't help but notice all the reports in the general support forum about clogged vehicles, so if you've got access to a vehicle (be it unlocked, no locked, or having a key) you should be able to drag objects from it, without having to climb onto it. Like this, we get a lower maintenence game.

Or for vehicles that dont have sides, like a motorcycle or bicycle, have the corpse merely fall off?

Chris has discussed wanting to do this in the past, so I am going to move this to Accepted since I didn't see an appropriate duplicate thread on the topic in Accepted.

I like the corpse falling off idea but I feel like it should generate an event to let people know.

"You see a man in his twenties die"
"You see a man in his twenties fall off a bike"

Or perhaps the other way around.

(Also this leads me to the question: What happens to vehicles whose owners die while on the road? Does it just stop and drift or carry on?)

Like possesions, the vehicle is warped back to where the person came from

I would think that maybe if dead people on vehicles still showed up on the character page as <CHARDESC> (body) it might help. Essentially the same as usual but with (body), so people outside the bike can see the body and initiate dragging as with a normal person.

Too many suggestions... But what was accepted was dragging bodies, and only bodies, out of vehicles, right?

Once I had a char who was killed in a vehicle, and I really can't imagine how he was taken out, since the person inside who killed him wasn't strong enough to drag him out when he was alive, and there wasn't enough room for another person...
I don't actually swim all that often
