Exactly! We need the objects implemented so we can even mention them, let alone use them. I think musical instruments, along with a lot of other objects...i.e. blankets, pillows, bells, whistles, dishes (the list could go on forever).....should be introduced just to enhance and broaden our rp capabilities.

If musical instruments were to be implemented that way, I'd support it.

yeah, that'd be ok.

I think it is a novel idea.
Quite useful if they allowed the base tiredness recovery rate to increase while being played. (as mentioned before)

Is there any plans to implement such things as instruments in the future? Or should we just rp them?

Instruments should not decrease tiredness... that's doesn't make sense at all. However, if something like morale were introduced (I'm not saying it should), then music could raise that, but should not decrease tiredness.

I appreciate that. I just want musical instruments, beneficial or no.

Yes, music would be fine.

Fine? The world needs music!! :x

Needs it I tell you!

*ahem*

So, programmed or RP is the question.

Either is good, as long as I know.

*cowers in fear* You're right! Bad adjective!

Music is needed! It is a great thing in life! It inspires us all! Without music there is no meaning!

I think that musical instruments would be a nice addition to the game adding a little more to current RP potential. All that I see them requiring is the ability to play them, and once an hour a message saying "Mr X plays a banjo" or whatever instrument Mr X is playing.

If it were to be extended I'd suggest a musical skill so you see "Mr X plays a banjo badly"

But the only problem is, what is"badly"? Music is different in different people. I don't like pop music much, for example, that doesn't mean everyone else doesn't like it, does it?

What if when a char played an instrament or sang a song there was an OOC message giving a link that people could use to hear what the player intended the char to sound like? Is that possible? Or practical? Can it be hosted the way photobucket hosts pictures?

I like that there's no music in cantr.

I don't think you guys realize how much crappy music is out there.

You know when you open one of those awful websites with a MIDI theme playing in the background?

Ugh.

Leave music out of cantr, please.

Exactly, I always have music playing in the background, I absolutely detest it when a web site spoils my track, especially if there's no way to shut the damn thing off.

As for "what is bad music" obviously in Cantr all people agree on what music is good, or when music is played no one experiences it the same and all they here is what they think is good, or what they think is bad depending - problem solved
