I just saw the glass prison ideas. Not anything about windows, and I had already looked there. I had posted there, but that still wouldn't do what I suggested.......

You obviously didn't read it all. We were talking about the ability to, from one room, see into another room, or outside... Which is the same as this post.

If we had awareness levels then what happend on the other side of a locked door might be able to get though.

I don't think you should be able to hear thru the windows though...so an "open" conversation should still be seen merely as "you see X talk to Y".

Unless of course it were a window without glass, then you could hear.

No my idea was that if the window was closed you could just see what was going on outside, but if it was open you could just hear what was going on ouside and vise versa, but if it was open people could jump into your house and steal things.

perhaps I misunderstood what you were trying to say there. But if a window is open you can see and hear what is out side.

People who may only want to see who is coming and going in the town, but not hear what the general conversation is...a gaurd perhaps...or someone working inside waiting for someone to arrive with goods.
People don't change....perceptions do.

"But who would ever close their windows then?"

Because than people could hear the conversations of people inside and you might be trying to hide something and plus as I said before if they didn't make the windows too small people could jump inside.
