"Quick, get the next one."

Nick Blackrock grabbed a hold of the Collective man's shoulders and waited a few seconds as Stylez got a good grip. Together they dragged him towards the TBR HQ building. They'd already gotten O'Shea trapped inside, and soon every meddling follower of the Collective would be imprisoned along side him. Everything was coming together just as he'd planned it. Soon, TBR would have absolute control over the forest... Soon, Lord Nick would be the most powerful man on the island.

Then the door to the TBR HQ swung open. "Impossible..." Nick thought.

There, standing in the doorway was Rick O'Shea, holding a key in his hand. "Nick! What are you... Oh, nevermind, I know exactly what you're trying to do! Collective, everybody inside!"

The forest erupted into a flurry of activity. Collective followers ran for cover as TBR showed their true intent and drew their weapons.

"Kill anyone who leaves the Forest!" Nick howled.

The situation seemed hopeless. There were TBR everywhere. Anyone not of the Collective or TBR was ordered to stay inside upon penalty of death.

Knowing that if he stayed he was doomed, Rick grabbed what he could from storage and then made a dash for the rikshaw.

"This isn't over, Nick. You'll pay for this." he shouted as he rode out of town.

TBR has taken over the forest. Rick O'Shea rides to warn others of what has occured, and the news travels fast. Soon, the forces of the island will secretly align themselves against this new threat. The Karnon Senate shall plot, while wild accusations will stir up TBR hatred in Kwor and the De Dannan lands. Violence and threats will follow in the wake of every travelling Blackrock. Events shall conspire towards a final showdown. TBR versus K-island. Who will win?

So Nick can just do as he pleases, taking over and putting a choke-hold on the whole island. In-ter-es-ting. I never thought I'd see the like.
*he eyes the crowd with a glint in his eye* There was a time Karnon would never have allowed it. *he turns to the young man next to him* What do you think, son? *grins* You think those times are over?

*frowns in thought, being the young man saztronic was referring to*

"I can't say, really... I haven't had much experience with Karnon... but they seem powerful enough to take out Nick if they wished to."

*looks up, his eyes wide with question to Saztronic*

"Do you think they will?"

*grunts* I wouldn't count on Karnon's army to mount a rescue mission for a crippled buffalo without orders signed in triplicate. But Karnon's not the only force on the island that can stop Nick...

*snorts* No other force that could do the job without 'em. *squints, and looks west up and down with a slight sneer* You thinking about giving it a go all on your lonesome? *he turns back to Nixit* Karnon's never been up against anything like this, but I've seen their army plenty, and if I was a wagering man -- *winks* and I am, of course -- I'd lay sabres to sickles they won't take this lying down, whatever the rest of the island does.

*nods to west* No, not the only force.. but most likely the largest. I think the only real way to stop all of this is through all of the forces working together to find peace.. *pauses a moment* One way or another. *raises an eyebrow at saztronic, turning slightly towards him, measuring him up with a thoughtful look* Maybe they will, maybe they won't; You can keep your bets for now. They'll have to be convinced that there's enough material benefit for them to get involved.

*looks worried* Do you really think it will come to a fight? *gazes at the spinach fields* Maybe I need to start getting some healing foods. *starts picking some spinach leaves*

There may be many that wish for peace without bloodshed, but there are many more that will not be happy otherwise, I don't think. *sighs* It might be the only way..

*speaking in a hushed, confidential tone kinvoya confides to those nearby* I plan to fulfill my lifelong dream now that the Collective have been driven away. I'm going to live my life totally devoted to the papaya. I plan to eat them all day and cover my face and body in a thick paste of papaya pulp. I have been told by enchanted voices that this will bring me spiritual enlightenment. Until this point I have lived a life of desperate longing...for papaya and papaya alone. I dared not even touch the mystical fruit for fear that I would loose control and reveal my secret.

*a brief shadow crosses her features* It's something I spoke about only to Nick Blackrock and long ago. He warned me that Sheriff O'Shea would never allow such heathen, tribal practices. Nick said I would surely be secretly killed by O'Shea...who only seemed to sleep at all times but would strike with deadly intensity whenever anyone broke his authoritarian rule. I think we just saw an example of that deadly speed as he fled town like a turkey kicked in the tail feathers by a buffalo.

*as she languidly heads toward the papaya trees with an otherworldly smile, her clothing drops to the ground behind her*

Wait? One government was thrown out and replaced in Karnon Forest and all of a sudden everyone is talking about stopping and throwing out the new government? There must be something here that I'm missing.

*chuckles a bit* I, for one, wasn't talking about overthrowing anything, Mr. Salad. Just speculating on what was likely to happen, is all, knowing who's involved.

I think I might be able to put my finger on that thing you're missing, though, and it's this -- those who don't like Nick won't consider him a government, but a usurper. And so those looking to do him in will be thinking of themselves as restoring the rightful government, like, in the service of a noble cause and all that.

*turns to hermitess* What was that you were saying about all the island uniting? You think that will happen? Should it? *grins* Humor me. The papaya lady is freaking me out.

*frowns a little more, and gazes at the grond a little before looking up at saztronic, his wandering eyes seeming to search Saztronic*

"Do ya... do ya think that the fighting will be here? Will there be fighting? Should there be fighting?"

The big question is, do you think TBR will stop with the Forest? Now they've got the hematite. Now think: What, along with hematite, is used to make iron, hmm?

*he furrows his brow, and then looks back up to Saztronic, with his bug eyes*

"What besides hematite is used to make iron?"

Governements rise and fall at the will of the people. So, was this a merciless bloodbath that needs attention? or was the Collective's time as a power on K-island up?

All I know is that I am uncomfortable with the talk going on here. Karnon is safe and will be for a very long time. We just need to keep an eye out on suspicious activity. Be like Papaya lady and go about your business, let the Senate decide our next action.
