Cantr Forum Werewolf Game 2 OOC GAME DISCUSSION

Postby formerly known as hf » Wed Jan 12, 2005 10:23 am

Ok,

sorry - this has to be a quick post - exam later today...

Just PM me if you want to sign-up, the game won't start for a week and a half or so - so plenty of time...

If you haven't played before - look at the link on the previous game for an explanation of the rules - and maybe read a bit to get an idea of what it's like

I'll clarify any changes to the rules nearer the time - and if anyone wants to make any suggestions - feel free to post here

Sign-up list- in no particular order (as of 14/01/05) that's January the 14th for any fragiles american brains...

Like I said - don't expect this to start for another week or so... unless someone else wants to moderate? but that gives more time for more people to join - and I won't start until the numbers make it fair...

THIS GAME WILL START ON MONDAY - see next topic

Query about a rules change

Postby mortaine » Wed Jan 12, 2005 7:42 pm

As I mentioned in my previous OOC note, it really changes the dynamic if the identity of the killed characters is made known during the game. One should never know if they've killed off a werewolf, a villager, or the seer, until after the game is over. Every night should be an anxious waiting-game; did we get the right person? Will there be more death and bloodshed?

So, are you willing to make this rules change, or is the game going to play the same way? Cause I'm definitely in if NO identities are revealed until the game is over.

As am I. Perhaps someone could think up of a few more roles that would add something to the game.

I'll play. Although I don't stand much chance, as I have already been accused of being a witch.

A whole bunch of variations can be found here.

I agree with mortaine...the game would be even more fun if you don't know who you are lynching.

And try to make sure to have an odd number this time, so that it ends on a day.

I had huge doubts about this game functioning in written form, but last round was great! :D

Will there be more special roles this time? Now not too much of course but the devil and vigilante from that link sound quite interesting. I didn't have time to read it all though.

*sigh* it's far too logical to put the elements in increasing order of the time unit involved. if us americans were forced to deal with that much logic our heads would explode. it's a scientifically proven fact! i saw it on tv.
