The Rhyming Game

Postby cutecuddlydirewolf » Wed Mar 11, 2015 5:41 pm

Yes, I just went there.
Basically, in this game, you post two sentences- the first needs to rhyme with the LAST sentence of the previous post, and so forth. An example:

Person 1: I like cookies and papayas too

Person 2: My love for them is certainly true
I can eat them day after day

Person 3: To keep the sadness and the hurt at bay
I also love fishies, which are especially yummy

...and so on! Only the starter (which would be myself) posts a single line.
Let it begin:

Who needs sleep when you have Cantr around?

You close your eyes and feel like you've drowned.

Sometimes you wonder "where's the point?"

But you still enjoy this world you've joined
Even though half of the characters are asleep

And those that aren't are mostly sheep.

What do you do when it all fades away?

Log out, take a break; Try the next day.

The game has troughs, but it's still pretty fun.

So much time spent there that I've forgotten how looks the sun.

Or, you know, what it's like to have finished homework and a clean room.

Well, Snickie, pick up the pencil and grab a broom,

Because then you can celebrate, with apples and an orange

An orange is strange, may I suggest a change?

Thank you, Calyx, our saving grace.

But what are the benefits of a mud-cake-mask?

A damn tasty face! As if you need to ask?

Buttercreamed ears and a chocolate nose?

What a positively preposterous plan to propose!

Calyx, you nut, what goes on in your head?

More than this iambic pentameter has said.

Nuts... I love nuts, I could eat them all day...

Did you just steal that line from Fifty Shades of Grey?

Look what you've done, you've scared off all the rhymers.

Even Cantr most faithfull old-timers.

Rhyming in English is quite a challenge.
“Man sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. He is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

The Fascists in Spain were known as the "Falange",

Until they dissolved in '77.
