Presenting the Fun Facts Game, or Yet Another of Dingo’s Silly Games!

This is just a little get-to-know-you game I cooked up while I was teaching, though I’ve changed the rules just a bit. The rules are relatively simple. To start, you rule a 20-sided die and a 4-sided die. The easiest way to do this is to use an online dice roller (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm is my favourite, but http://www.roll-dice-online.com/ works well, too). After rolling, look at your results. The result of your d20 roll determines which of the fun facts categories (listed below) you should answer, and the result of the d4 roll determines how many facts you should give. Fairly simple rules. Oh, and don’t forget to have fun!

The Fun Facts categories are:
1. The area where you grew up.
2. Your family.
3. Your friends.
4. Yourself.
5. Your hobbies/interests.
6. Your pet peeves.
7. Your current town/city.
8. What you would do if you won a million dollars/pounds/Euros/etc.
9. Your favourites: food/colours/numbers/etc.
10. Roll twice
11. Your school.
12. Your pet(s).
13. Your favourite/dream job(s).
14. Your favourite game(s) (including video/board/card games)
15. Your phobias/fears.
16. Your future.
17. Your favourite/dream vacation(s).
18. Your favourite music.
19. Your coolest moment(s).
20. Roll three times.

Your favourite/dream vacation(s).
1. My favourite vacation so far was when I spent three weeks in Australia and New Zealand as part of a student amabassador program. At that point, the only time I had been out of the states was to visit Niagara Falls in Canada, so that didn't really count.
2. Another of my fave trips was when I lived in Sevilla, Spain, for four months while studying for my undergrad.
3. I think the number one place I really want to travel to would be Ireland. I've heard it's gorgeous, and I'd love to see where my family came from.
4. Another cool place I'd love to visit again would be the Sahara desert. Very cool atmosphere, and the people out in the desrt are truly unique!

My favourite hobby.
This is an easy one: i read SF-books. A classmate gave me an SF-book for my 14th birthday and i have been reading ever since. I have ... but that is another fact.

My phobias/fears
Umm... I'm quite scared of heights, I think... That's about it, from what I can think of now :p

Pets!

1. Whiskey. He was a little stray doggie that used to follow me home from school. Dad and me managed to have it hidden from my mother for almost two days and then made her the worst emotional blackmail ever to keep it. Have no pics of him

2. Hades. My first "flat mate" as an adult. A work mate found him in the garbage being a newborn and I could not say "no". He was incredibly affectionate, clever and lovable; made me change my concept about cats. He died from leukemia after only three years.

3. Banshee (although she answered to "you biiiiiitch"). I took her in from the street as a kitten too and she was crazy as hell the poor thing. Her favourite pastime is climbing up the curtains and then jump into people's heads or stalk and torture my dog (4), which is praiseworthy since she is 1,5 kilos and he is 38. She is really sweet with kids, though. A friend kinda fell in love with that cute monstrosity of hell and now we share her "custody".

4. Nebel. I adopted him when he was a puppy too. He has such a sweet nature! He went through a "let's destroy Nancy's flat while she works" phase, but it seems to be over now. Almost. I'm learning a lot from him while I try to "educate" him, although sometimes I want to strangle him a liiiitle bit, guess he is educating me too.

I never get used to darkness and dark places..

1. I'm terrified of needles. Not blood, not hospitals, just needles.
2. I'm equally terrified of elevators, to the point that I always try to book first or second floor rooms in any hotels I stay in.
3. I'm terrified of being alone.

What you would do if you won a million dollars/pounds/Euros/etc.
1. I'd buy a boat A really nice one, a sailing boat, and then preferably an old-style one, not a yacht like they build nowadays.
2. Probably a nice house wouldn't be bad, too, if I had any money left
3. I'd definitely put a bit in a savings account or something like that
4. Maybe a bit to charity, too

The area where I grew up!

- A town called Renovo
- The only town in the entire united states that can only be reached by going over a bridge
- The only town in pennsylvania that's classified as "rural"
- We have no fast food places, walmarts, etc.
