The legs, torso and arms are now all assembled - just waiting for the head, now.

When I started this, I expected the result to be nothing less than a grotesque, bizzare mixture of different styles, and I was not dissapointed. Click on the image to view the full-resolution monster.

Yes, if everyone agrees to play again, I will rotate the body part assigments so the next round will look like this:

Head - UloDeTero
Torso - SekoETC
Arms - joo
Legs - Piscator

I guess I could go again. I can't promise originality, though.

We can continue with that base until everyone has got to draw each part once.

And, after a suitably pregnant delay, here is the second monster:

The tree-stump didn't look quite right against a white or transparent background, so I quickly made up a verdant background to make it look more natural. Also I had to use colour burn on the joints to make them look more realistic.

I like the slimy effect on the tentacle-arms.

Sorry if my parts look out of place, but I find it easier to rip things from Google images than try drawing things from scratch.

Actually, the head and the tentacles suit each other, in a way. Makes it look slightly more convincing.

I gotta learn to use GIMP since I'll be without Photoshop for one more week. The background looks cool. joo, any chance you could add a background to the first drawing as well?

I could add a background image to the first picture, but what could that creature possibly look natural against?

P.S. I can send you an installer/keygen for Photoshop CS3 Professional if you like. I know that being without photoshop is like losing a limb.
