Talapus in the other thread wrote:If you let it cool down for a bit, I will GM a game. I already have roles made out for a 20 player mafia game.

Okay, so I suppose I am ready to GM a game. I don't keep turn reports, so I don't remember any events well enough to craft roles. The roles I have are geared towards the standard mafia, but if anyone would like to place names to them, I would be grateful. Also if people are interested, I will GM it in a Cantr fashion (Cantr style towns and people with crossbows), rather then normal mafia style. Mafia Salad, are you going to have enough time to play? Right now, it looks like we have the current people signed up:
Pie
3shyof30rats
deadboy
N-Aldwich
Bowser
AoM
Sparkle
I would like a total of 20 people. When we get to 10 people, I will post the roles I have created. Here are the important differences between this and other mafia games that have been played in the forums:
48 hour days and 24 hour nights.
Roles are not revealed upon death
Any player may contact any other play by whatever means they wish (PM, email, in person)

I actually kinda like it when the roles are revealed when they're dead...You'll have to explain this a little more to me how it'll work then, Tal. But I'm still in once I understand a little better. lol

I agree.... this seems abit more like luck. All the other rules I'm fine with, but can we still know who a character is on death?

Well here, let me post the roles so that you can see that it is not all luck. All players have important roles. Some are stand alone, but many have synergy with other roles. Not only do the roles have their special powers, but in a game this large, a person's words and actions speak volumes about themselves.
Mafia (mafia win conditions):
Godfather: Appears as town. Can choose one person per night to assassinate. Knows who the Underboss, the Caporegime, and the Consigliere are.
Underboss: Can live through one lynching. Is first in the Mafia succession. Knows who the Godfather, the Caporegime, and the Consigliere are.
Caporegime: If lynched, the first person to vote for him is killed during the night. If assassinated, the person who killed them is also killed (if he was killed during the day, that person will die during the following night). Is second in the Mafia succession. Knows who the Underboss, and the Consigliere are (does not know the Godfather).
Consigliere: Can choose one person per night who then appears as mafia for that night. Is third in the Mafia succession. Knows who the Underboss, and the Caporegime are (does not know the Godfather).
Police Informant: Can investigate one living person per night (finds out if they are mafia or not). 50% chance of appearing as town. Once per game during the night, he may choose a person. If that person is part of the mafia succession, then this character is revealed to the entire succession. If he is lynched, and he has not been revealed to the entire succession (through his ability), then he changes to town win conditions instead of dieing, and he is revealed to the Judge (this ability only works once).
Mob Lawyer: Can choose one person per night (but not himself) who then appears as town for that night and the following night (overriding normal appearances).
Town (town win conditions):
Mob Informant: Can investigate one living person per night (finds out if they are mafia or not). 50% chance of appearing as mafia. If he is assassinated by the mafia (and not protected by the doctor), then he changes to mafia win conditions instead of dieing, and he is revealed to the entire succession (this ability only works once).
Tinker: Appears as mafia. Can live through one assassination (any type) or one lynching. Once per game during the night, he may choose one person. The Tinker's role is then revealed to that person.
Doctor: Can choose one person per night (but not himself) who then resists all assassinations for one entire day (night and day).
Day Vigilante: Once per game may assassinate anyone, but only during the day.
Night Vigilante: Twice per game may assassinate anyone, but only during the night.
Coroner: Can investigate one dead person per night. His autopsy reveals the exact role of the character (no chance of confusion).
Private Investigator: Every night he learns if a character is mafia or not. That character is chosen at random, and may be a character who has already been choosen (or even himself). He may instead choose to assassinate someone but if he does so, he looses all powers for the rest of the game.
Psychic: Can choose one person per night. For the rest of the game (including that night) that character will appear as they truly are when investigated (and their identity cannot be covered up).
Necromancer: Can choose one dead person per night. There is a 25% chance that the person will return to life. He may never try to use this ability more then once on the same person.
Judge: Can never be lynched, and can survive one mafia assassination.
Rumor Monger: Knows which side committed each murder during the night.
Detective: Can investigate one living person per night (finds out if they are mafia or not). When he dies, his investigation results are revealed to the Judge.
Other (no win conditions):
Doppelgänger: Once per game during the night, he may choose one living person to assassinate. He then gains all of the abilities of that character including win conditions (he cannot win until he gains win conditions). Until he uses his ability, he appears as mafia (after which he appears as that role would).
Jack of All Trades: Once per game during the night, he may choose one dead character. He then gains all of the abilities of that character including win conditions (he cannot win until he gains win conditions). Until he uses his ability, he appears as town (after which he appears as that role would).
