The Muck Pond

[Razorlance]

As Tek sees the giant vehicle approaching him he instinctively cart wheels off to the side, at the same time he mindspeaks to Ao, "Wrong way Ao, I thought I was going to get in the back before you started trying things? you nearly ran me over!"

[Nalaris]

"Because they obviously need more wine? I don't want your groff, and I figured that if the wine was free to all, why not take a cup? It's idiotic to go to pieces over a cup I had intentions of returning anyway."

((OOC: I'd like to remind you that as of yet Deimos is the only one to accuse Omura of stealing anything, and he realized how wrong he was soon enough. No one's ever gotten angry yet.

Omura looks at the groff she is offering to Deimos. "Oh are you sure? I picked it just for you. I want you to have it."

(OOC: The justice god also accused her of being a theif and threatened punishment and as far as Omura knows you were taking her to jail for stealing the sticks, you did cast that mind mist on her, she isn't sure what happened.)

[AoM]

Ao immediately replaces the lever back to it's neutral position.

"Sorry Tek, for some reason I thought you'd already come inside. I guess I was too focused on the controls I didn't hear your question. Sorry. Hop in if you like... I won't run you over this time."

Making sure that Tek's clear of the hatch, he pulls on the lever that opened up the back door, so that Tek could climb in.

[Nalaris]

((OOC: Ahhh, it all makes sense now. Illosep did, huh? Did he ever get around to offering a power?))

"If it means that much to you I'll take it. You have my thanks, little one. Have you yet attained for yourself an ability? All creatures of the Muck are entitled one. The god in the temple we passed earlier will give you one if he hasn't already." With that Deimos goes off heading towards the village.

Omura is pleased as Deimos takes the Groff, but frowns as he walks away. "Hey wait, didn't anyone tell you that walking away from a conversation is rude?" Omura runs to catch up with Deimos. "I am sorry if I angered you before, I was afraid you were going to do something bad to me, I'm still not entirely sure if you are a good person, but I was hoping that the Groff I just gave you will change things."

[Fleegle]

(Global statement)

The moon was getting quite low in the sky, and early morning twilight was approaching. The sky was still relatively clear.

(For Nalaris and Swymir. The rest of you haven't done anything that requires my two cents yet. Omura was given NightGuard by Ilosep, which means she is invincible at night.)

Deimos and Omura made their way out of the forest, where a crude wooden statue towered above them. The wood looked to be stained with blood in places. The path from the forest opened into a pasture, beyond which was a low wooden fence, on the other side of which was a road that led to the village.

Noticing the vehicle coming to a stop and the hatch opening again, Tek cartwheels around to the back of it, then stopping just short and letting himself fall back onto four limbs, he lumbers up the ramp into the back. "Okay, I am in, we can go now, and preferably in the other direction. And I know you told me to be alert but that was not what I was expecting." He then let out a strange sound which could be called a laugh.

Omura stops and covers her mouth. "Oh my. Is that blood? What could have happened?"

[AoM]

Ao closes the hatch and then slowly pushes forward on the lever that when pulled made the vehicle go in reverse.

"Like I said, always best to be ready for anything, especially when I'm pulling mystery levers," he rumbles.

(OOC: wha'? but i need a discription of my suroundings? Or you COULD just take my advice and make it a village of burrowing hamsters.....

(For AoM and Tek)

The vehicle jumped and rumbled forward. Ao found that the further he pushed the lever, the faster the vehicle moved. It tore out of the "garage" into the white sand. Up ahead, not too far in the distance, a steep cliff face rose up. The vehicle would eventually collide with it if they continued. To the right stood a gently-inclined hill. It seemed to be the only way to go without colliding with anything. Ao would need to figure out how to turn the vehicle.

(For Pie)

Beyond, at the bottom of the curving pathway, the valley stretched ahead of them. The bottom of the valley twisted and turned, and was quite rocky. In a few places, caves could be seen. A particularly large rock not far from the path had charred marks on it, as if something had been burnt there.

[AoM]

(If I recall your description correctly...)

Ao will gently push the horizontal lever to the right, hoping that this will turn the vehicle towards the gently sloping hill.

[Razorlance]

"I hope you know what your doing Ao, it is pretty bewildering back here." Then he noticed the small hatch at the front of the compartment, he moved up to it and tried opening it to get a better view of what was happening.

The rear compartment was rather spacious, and lit by some dull blue lights. Tek found a small handle on the door and tried it. The door clicked, and Tek was able to slide it open. It led into the "cockpit" of the vehicle, where Ao sat, controlling the vehicle. They saw the rock wall looming up before them. As Ao swung the horizontal lever to the right, the vehicle followed suit, turning rather sharply. The vehicle seemed to be capable of turning on a dime. The vehicle trundled up the side of the hill, throwing up white sand with its treads. They reached the summit, where they could see ahead for miles. Stretched out before them was the basin of an enormous crater. It was very deep and the sides of the crater were extremely steep. Not too far away was a ramp carved into the side of the crater, just wide enough for the vehicle they were in. The ramp had obviously been made especially for this purpose. The ramp was quite gentle, and seemed quite long, but it led to the bottom of the crater.
