"HF, what I really don't understand is the why you keep acting like you're so sure I'm the werewolf, when realistically no one can be sure of anything. I mean, I think you and Okud have been acting pretty suspiciously, but I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and not jump to any conclusions yet. And Nick...well, he voted for me, too, but at least he's been honest enough to admit the fact that it was more because I've been talking too much than because of any real evidence."
*looks thoughtfully at the crowd and shakes her head* "Though what's really got me wondering is how it came down to a vote between me and Farmer in the first place... He might be paranoid, irrational, and generally unpleasant, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a werewolf. And I might not know when it's best to keep my mouth shut, but that doesn't mean I'm one either."
"And if it turns out we're both innocent, that would mean that the werewolves have just been kicking back, watching this whole discussion and waiting for nightfall, only they've been smart enough to stay quiet like everybody else and not draw attention to themselves." *sighs* So really, no matter who we lynch, all this stupid arguing may be doing is providing some nice before-dinner entertainment for the real wolves..."

Everyone was getting tired. There really seemed to be no evidence at all but somehow the voting had turned into a battle between Farmer and Lumin. Stuck in a three against four situation, the bigger block finally decided to take action. They seized Hallucinating farmer, stuffed an old sock in his mouth to get rid of the bitching and tied his hands behind his back. Okud and Nick were still glaring suspiciously at Lumin but couldn't spare acting against superior numbers, while the rest of the villagers were almost asleep, refusing to get involved. In spite of his muffled whining and panic-filled eyes, Farmer was taken to the lynching tree and the noose was strung around his neck. After that everything happened quickly. When the stool was kicked away from beneath his feet, the whimpering ended abruptly and then there was silence.
Without a word, the people retreated to their homes, knowing that there had to be at least one more left, or even two should they have mistaken. The corpse was left dancing in the wind, empty eyes staring off into the darkening night.

Most of the people woke up from their troubled dreams in cold sweat, relieved to notice their bodies were still intact. They quickly gathered to the town square, anxious to see who had been the unlucky one that night. But the head count was interrupted when someone pointed towards the lynching tree. Everyone turned to see - Farmer's corpse was gone. All that was left was a end of rope flying in the wind. Closer examination revealed that it had been cut with a neat slash.
The only person who hadn't appeared was Nixit. The door to his house had been savagely forced open and the knob was missing. Preparing for the worst, no one had even thought about having breakfast before finding out what had happened last night, but the view of the bedroom offered a slight surprise. The bedcovers hed been tossed aside and there was a couple blotches of blood on the pillow and sheet, but no sign of a corpse whatsoever. They searched the house superficially but finding nothing, they soon gave up and returned outside.

Well we obviously made a mistake or there's two of them. Who could the other wearwolf be? I still have my suspisions about Rev. If he was indeed not a wearwolf, he should be using his knowledge of what happened in his other town to help us with our problem, but it seems he has gone "coincidentily" quite. My vote is for Rev until something changes my mind.

Yeah. The doctors said that two of us had been contaminated....
I wonder, though.... is Nixit really dead? Do you think? Or did he escape? It's so hard to know for sure, with so little evidence to work with.
Why would the wolf or wolves take Farmer's body? As food? We're in no lack, here. Could it be that Farmer was really one of the wolves, and the other took his body out of sentiment?

Farmer was number two on my list, but how would you know, Mortaine? you slept all the time *frowns*. There is something very important you should all realize: *takes a long look around*
Even if you don't cast your vote, any living werewolf will still be able to attack someone during the night. During the day, you have the power to make something happen. Not voting leaves the werewolfes a good chance to swing the vote and to kill an innocent, got it?

No, you're absolutely right on that count, Okud. I should have made my voice heard. Instead, I passed out. I'm not really sure why-- bad reaction to the cocktail those doctors gave us, I guess. Or else someone didn't *want* my voice to be heard and made sure I would sleep through it.
But even when I slept, I caught snatches of the conversation here and there.
