Well, far as I see, there is something funny about you. Most attractive thing around. *He chuckles* I don't think random shooting is going to do it, problem is, I don't think I've ever worked with any of you before. Who set up this mission? And who the hell are all of you?

*he turns to Racetyme* Best-of-the-best I've been told. Crack spec ops...
*he looks around* Well, supposedly...
And after my old team... No response, dead air on the radio. who knows what happened to them...
*he looks through his rifle sights and adjusts them slightly* I've never seen any of your faces
*he lowers his rifle* Never fought with any of you. No offence, but I'm watching just my own back...

*He steps in and coolly surveys the situation and the town* Jesus... its dead out there... *He takes in the surroundings with one turn of his head, naturally raising his rifle the slightest amount purely from tension* I would say this is standard, move in, neutralise the enemy, move out again, keeping it quick. But I can't see jack moving out there *He ushers them forward and steps into the middle of the town* I'm gonna check this buildings for hostiles, but my best guess would have to be that everyone and everything out there is dead *He sweeps in and out of the houses quickly and efficiently, gun raised, motioning the team to back him up before entering each house, when he's checked them all, he moves into the centre of the town and stands extremely still, and extremely tense* I don't like this. I don't like this one bit. You said radio is down? That's a damn shame, my best advice would be to get the hell out of this godforsaken town and radio air support to bomb anything left to pieces. But that's just me. *He walks back amoungst the team* Since we don't even got radio, anyone got any better advice?

*he is against the corner of a nearby building, near the rear of the team, scanning the surrounding area, he momentarily looks back at the team, then back around the corner, but speaks to the squad*
A quick headcount makes us ten...
I was told it'd be a standard section. The usual squad of eight. Instead, we have ten...
*he again looks back momentarily*
And not a corporal amongst us... Nor a Lance Corporal. So, what, we have no leadership? And possibly a couple of interlopers...?
*he raises his rifle, aiming the second storey of a nearby house for a few moments, then lowers it again*

*he looks over the others, then pulls back the bolt of his assult rifle and lets it go, loading a round in the chamber*
Infiltrators? Asbo-friggin-fabulous. *curses loudly*
All right, somebody in this sorry-ass group has got to know something about how to get at these bloodsuckers. They didn't drop us all in here because we look good in dresses, you know what I mean? We gotta be careful about what we say, but we oughta be able to figure this out long as nobody acts stupid.
First off is getting out of the open. This town square shit is for people who like getting ambushed, and I ain't one of 'em.
*he surveys the cityscape, processing the readout on his digital display. his eyes come to rest on a building a block off the square on a small rise, a little taller than the others*
There. That one. Good lines of sight in three directions, buildings close in for cover, two escape routes visible and difficult to block. I say we hole up in there while we figure out who we all are. And once we know, we introduce the walking corpses to Anastasia, here, and see if they like eating bullets as much as people. *he rubs his thumb along the butt of his rifle*

*he shoulders his rifle with his right hand and draws his bowie knife with his left, saying sarcastically*
Can't handle hand-to-hand combat, hey *he squints at the soldier's nametag* ...Racetyme? I'll take a knife fight over a bullet from nowhere any day of the week. Sorry if I scared you, I was just acting, you know, like a soldier.
*he gestures with his thumb* I suppose you'd rather just sit over there by the fountain and have a nice picnic? I hope you brought your doilie.

Course I did. Wouldn't want your pretty little behind to sit on the ground now would we?
Tell you what. You take that knife, and go stand over there. *He points towards an abandoned church, several hundred yards away.* I'll keep my rifle, and we'll see who ends up bleeding.

*raises an eyebrow* Verry profetionall of you two. We've been sent here to clear this place out, and see the damage that the bom did. So... I say lets get on it. Who is the leader in command of this... operation, anyway?

*smiles* well then, why haven't we radioed back to HQ to confirm any objectives, to see if they did make a mistake, or to see who is a zombie, and who isnt? That would be the most intelligent option... although I'm not sure intelligence is you’re... ah... forte.
And I'm just making sure, not half of the people here have woken up, and for all you know one of them could be the leader.

*He steps in between Pie, Racetyme, and Saztronic, first turning to Racetyme* Are you two on the same squad here? You do not, and I repeat do not, threaten another team member, do you hear me? We all start squabbling and we're dead. Plain and simple. You two'll be having your little macho showdown and whichever of us is a mole'll shoot you both in the back and where do you end up then? Dead, and you get me killed and I won't be too happy about it *He then turns to Pie* And you soldier need to listen up abit. Radio's down, we're stranded here and there isn't an HQ to contact. We have no clear leader, no clear objectives, and we're sitting duck in this hell hole of a town
*He steps a pace infront of the group* Alright all, listen up, I hate taking charge but if we're going to get through this we need some order. We'll set up a defencive perimeter around this square, general circle formation, so that if anything is out there and not already amoung us its no way of catching us from behind, and no-ones behind anyone else either so no one needs to worry about being shot in the back *He gives a slight frown* Then, we need to figure out just why the hell there's two more of us than there should be, because I just ain't confortable with that right now *He lays down in the 12 o clock position, facing out down a road going from the square*

*He gestures towards the barren, bombed out area around them* There isn't anything out there to be afraid of. I'll sit in your circle, but I'm looking towards all of you, I'll take my chances with whats out there. At least I know I should shoot anything that direction.
Edit: I forgot some stuff.
That wasn't a threat, and if it had been, you would be in no position to tell me not to do it. He could just as easily be a zombie as one of us. Not saying he is, but I don't trust any of you.

*AoM strikes a match off a long dead lynching tree, and lights his cigar*
"Racetyme." *he pauses* "Ironic call sign..."
*The tip of the cigar glows an ember red as the soldier takes a long drag*
"So. I hear a lot of talking... I can't trust you, you can't trust me, blah, blah, blah. We've had that fact established from the time we met. That's not how we're going to solve shit in this outfit."
vote saztronic
"Pressuring you pissants by putting you to the fire..." *he draws his assault rifle up* "Now that's how I deal with dark forces in my midst."
You're the first to talk, Saz... are you usually so talkative? Most people in these parts a 1000 years ago weren't, and that's why this thing got out of hand.
(OOC: It's day one and random votes are a necessity. It's a damn sad fact of life. But the best situation for the village is to get at least two solid vote leaders, maybe even three, and alternating them in the lead for who would be lynched. It means that if we get lucky and a zombie is in the running for lynch, that his partner and possibly a traitor will be forced to make a move to save their teamate. It's something to go back to on later days that we can analyze.)
"Now I'm not saying you're a zombie, straight up Saz... And maybe I'm just testing ya and my vote'll end up elsewhere. But unless we point our guns and decide on someone to get pulverized, all we're hearing is the same ol' story from everyone who feels like speaking up. Let's vote, dammit, and sort this out the way it was meant to be."
*he takes another puff from the cigar, curling the smoke upwards across his scarred and unshaven face*
"And one more thing... I don't expect none of you to just up and trust me neither. But I'm a soldier. If it's going to be anyone kicking you lily-livered, codpieces into shape (and possibly pissin' y'all off with abrasive mannerisms), it might as well be me... I'm more expendable than some of you yahoos more likely n' not."
