He's in a different room, and I believe it'll be another 36 hours until you can go without causing an engine explosion.

[Pie]

OK, lets just pretend, that that's 36 hours in real life... right nelarius?

[Nalaris]

Nalaris. Nalaris! And 36 hours in real life won't allow for enough time to execute the plot. Not nearly.

[AoM]

Pie, it's Nalaris' game, so Nalaris gets to determine the time flow. This being the fourth time that the apparitions have shown up, I think it's a subtle hint that we have to focus on dealing with them and not worry so much about waiting out for the ship to be repaired.

Okay... we're not going anywhere for now. Why don't we all go see this screaming guy and see if we can get to the bottom of this.
Ira gets up and starts heading towards the screaming, looking over his shoulder to make sure people are following him.

[Coramon]

Picks up a nearby paper-weight and throws it at the apparition from the next room over. It goes right through. "Damn! This is getting old fast!"

[AoM]

Ira grins at the manner in which the Captain threw the paper weight. "That's it captain, let it out..." Then he stops and raises a hand to his forehead as if he's just thought of something, and he goes to the piloting mainframe and turns on the long range scanners. He's looking for any nearby planets, moons, or large asteroid/planetoids that show signs of life or at least the ability to sustain life.

[Fleegle]

Smirg sighs.
"Let me know when there's something worth shooting."
He goes to a nearby unused computer terminal and starts playing Space Invaders.

[Nalaris]

Oh my gosh, you people don't learn. Remember the last time we went charging into a dangerous situation? Our ship got half blown up and now we're stuck here with these freaks for the next day and a half!

Two planets show up on the scan. There's a desert world which, supposedly, holds a temple that contains untold treasure and riches, but, of course, no one's ever been able to find it. There's also a jungle planet known to hold the cure to the Drai plague, named for the system from which it originated. The plague was lethal until the discovery of the Iard (Drai spelled backwards, the scientist who discovered it was short in the creativity department) plant. The planet was named for the life saving plants, and no communication has been made from it for months. The planet that the crew set out from and the one you're heading to are the only other planets nearby. The asteroids are still made of metal (so no, they haven't spontaneously metamorphised into pure energy. Sorry.))

The paperweight soars straight through the man, who dissapears. Meanwhile, the girl begins walking through the ship from outside. She's no longer crying but is still quite depressed.

[AoM]

"Captain, unless we're all crazy and happen to be seeing the exact same things, we have to assume that these things are man made. We may not be able to locate the thing that's near our ship and causing the apparations, but I'll bet my 100 credits against your one saying that the people doing this to us are located on one of these two planets."

He sits back to let the captain see his screen. And as he does so he looks to Amanda.

"Last time we went charging into danger, we escaped with our lives. It was the folks that had better armor, weapons and numbers than us that didn't get off so lucky." He grins. "I'd say boldness has been working for us so far."

[Coramon]

"A temple ay? Well, the least we can do is check it out... Keep me updated on the ship's repair. Oh, and set co-ordinates for the desert planet, as soon as you can, get us there Mr. Matters. I intend to find this forest, and exploit any riches it has. If only we could move!" Begins to pace up and down the length of the ship.

[AoM]

"Ehm? Sir, there are two planets... the desert planet doesn't have a forest. The tropical planet is the one with the vegetation. So you still want the desert planet?"

[Coramon]

"Did I say forest? I meant temple. Just do it Mr. Matters."

[AoM]

He punches in the coordinates. "Course is set captain, for when we can move..."

[Nalaris]

Time skip mach two, the whole crews dealt with a sleepless night, not helped by the fact that there isn't enough room to properly house all of them. The screaming man continues screaming, and at dawn (24 hours to repair completion) the girl is back, talking to the man, who is clearly ignoring her. The girl sounds scared, and is on the verge of tears.

Ira will try to hear what the girl is saying.
