Here I am guys. I'm back again, and I already finished reading the whole gameplay history of The Muck Pond! Success!
With all this history in mind, I guess I could answer my own questions.
At the Muck Pond, there's a severed bonsai tree with it's other parts remained in ashes in front of the cave; the God of Trickery has burned that tree that was once blocking the behemoth Tagus' way by Beezlebub, right? Then there's the corpse of Tagus, rotting away as it gets eaten from various flies and insects. To the south-west is where characters can visit and earn thier chosen fates; the Old Temple as said from the sign around the Pond. The Groff Fields are to the east, and beyond that a beach of an ocean. To the north is the forest, where it is about to be besieged from the Pink Ones (you guys kept on naming them Pink Ones; I suppose they are really humans??? Fleegle haven't described them in detail; I think he hasn't even refer to them as humaniods...). To the south a large rocky outcropping, beginning with a tall cliff facing the Muck Pond. After that to the east is the cave where Tagus once lived. To me, the Muck Pond may be a bad place to be spawned since one's first sight could the rotting flesh of the beast. Oh, and I think there could be pieces of a box that may possibly still depict unknown writings; I think it's the box that MushBall accidently broke apart from the once tall bonsai tree.
That's all I know so far. And I assume there's no player-character currently in that area, whether they're active or not? I still have some questions though, regarding of what character I should make. Can I make a human character with whatever clothing I choose along with equipment as long as it's what the character is able to carry and such?

Well, I suppose I can allow minimal clothing, but I can't allow equipment as it would give the character an unfair advantage... the characters must use objects that are identified in the core narrative (ie. what I write). That said, your character can't, say, be spawned with a coat that has a zipper, rip the zipper off the coat and use it as a weapon (stupid example, but you get my point). Any clothing you introduce must be merely aesthetic.
The Pink Ones are, indeed, humans. I haven't revealed it explicitly in the narrative, but it is implied by some of the things I have said. It's intended to be a commentary on the way we (in general) treat our environment and fear/hate those who are different.
Yes, I agree that the Muck Pond is not a very nice place to be spawned... but remember that it wasn't always like that. It was made that way largely as a result of the actions of a certain Mucky named after a biblical figure
I guess the moral of that story is that the world is how you make it. None of the other characters attempted to tidy things up, e.g. drag the Tagus body away (I know it's heavy, but there are some strong Muckies) or dispose of the ruined tree. Apparently the Muckies have no pride in their spawning ground
.
As far as I know there are no player characters (and I don't think there are any NPCs either) at the Muck Pond.

Oh, if anyone has some talent and is interested, feel free to draw comics, artwork, etc. pertaining to the Muck Pond and post them here for fellow players and non-players to see. So far only one person besides myself has posted a picture (Razorlance). Some day I'll post a revised area map that will include the new areas that have been explored, plus hint at some areas that people might not know about yet.

Thanks for answering my questions. And I would post my future art for others to see, that is, if I could. I'm not sure how one can alter his or her pictures saved in files so that it could be able to be inserted in the web, but I'm sure to know that by googling.

Well, since equipment isn't allowed, I think it won't do well with the originally made human character I'm about to use, so I think I should play something that is able to get rid of that body Tagus.
It's already posted there; what do you think?

Heh, after see it's description about five times, I bet they do. Unfortunately, Fleegle would only allow original characters. Reasonable enough, I'll have to delete the Gibbering Mouther so that it won't taint the originalness that has made The Muck Pond. Again, I understand.El_Skwidd wrote:Haha... the Gibbering Mouther.
Ever fought one? They suck. I hate them.

Once you have posted something, you must wait either for me to respond to your post, or for one of the other players to interact with your character.
Yeah... and about that past life stuff, please don't get carried away with it. As far as I and the players are concerned, your character BELIEVES he has a past life, but he does not in fact have one.
Let me be clear... there are such things as past lives in the Muck Pond, but there is a very specific way they work. Your first character does NOT have a past life whatsoever, whether he/she/it believes so or not. If your character dies, its essence goes back to the Muck Pond to be born in another form. BUT, your new character will have no recollection of the life before. You, the player, are their essence, pulling their strings without their knowledge.

I know I've explained the essence stuff before, and I also stated that characters weren't supposed to have any supernatural abilities... I would consider remembering a past life supernatural, plus claiming that there are past lives is a metaphysical assumption, and defining the metaphysics of the Muck Pond universe is the game master's job. I realize this is a borderline case but I would expect in such cases that you would message me first to see if it were okay. At any rate, it's not a big deal. You can always edit your post. If you want to just say he's crazy that's fine too.

For the benefit of players, new and old, I've made up a very rough map of the area, with the new areas that have been explored or are soon to be explored. You will notice I have not shown the underground tunnels or the undersea areas on the map. At some point I may draw extra maps specifically for those areas. Well, I probably won't draw a map of the underwater areas, since there's not much there and not many characters are able to go there. But the caves I will definitely make a map of in the near future.
