A very interesting round indeed -- I particularly like the foreshadowing that occured in the second word; indeed, the theme of castration seems to have held strong throughout the entire chain - even though it took a quick dip in to "mutilation" around SekoETC's turn. Maybe the comments I made about 4 posts back have had more of an effect than I initially intended...

I'm sure you all know the ususal subscribers by now, so I won't insult your long term memories by repeating them. I will wait a while, as usual, for anybody else with a desire to join

For a future round, perhaps round 9 (the round after the next one), I'd like to try out a slightly different format for the game that was suggested by Sparkle recently. The basic mechanics of the game are the same, but what changes is the information that is passed between people: instead of a single word, a whole sentence is passed along, and every time it is forwarded, the sender changes one word of the sentence, ensuring that it still makes sense (although the new word does not have to be related to the previous word in any way). Players still send me a copy of their change, and the sentence is passed back to me in the end. Please give your feedback on this idea or any suggestions to possibly improve it.

Maybe you misunderstood what I was saying: I was not criticising the use of the word mutilation, I was rather expressing my pleasure that the meaning kept on for so long. Maybe you will understand my meaning better when you look at my revised emoticon. And yes, the subscribers always go first, in the order they subscribed.

Except, for this round, I will try Sparkle's idea (see Sparkle's last post). A short example, just to illustrate the concept:

Just change one word, send it off to the next person, and forward me a copy.
