Cantr II Discussion Forum

I've been on hols for a week, i come back, try to login to the IRC, and hey presto i have been banned permanantly for "creating a nuisance in the channel" ... This is news to me, no one has said a word, let alone give me a warning. Can someone explain?


Edit: In fact, it says MANY channels... I've only ever been in #Cantr!!!!

Well, as i said, I've been away since..... sunday at 04:00 (when i left).
So its either a mistake, or someone has inpersonated me somehow. When was the last time you saw me, Doug?

"just the other day" is about as accurate as I can get...

*mutters* well, can i get unbanned please? Cause as far as i know, i haven't done anything wrong, and people should tell me if i am, so i stop doing it! I am a reasonable person you know!

Did you get that message when you tried to enter #cantr channel? Or maybe when you tried to log in to IRC server? In second case we can not help you.

I don't know, i went through the link from the home page... so no idea.

Speaks for tiself, but BLEH???? Why? i had no warning or anything, i come back from a holiday and blam!

In that case the ban is by the irc server admins and is out of our control- It sounds like you use a dynamic ip address which has been used or is similar to one used by someone who has been banned

You could contact the irc server owners/admins - irc.gnug.org has a web site at www.gnug.org - They may be able to help ,I'd recommend you give as much info as you can when you make the inquiry
