You could try doing one of those "Captcha" things where you have to type the two words correctly or it won't let you register. If you want to get fancy, it could be the kind where you have to scroll your mouse over it to see the letters. Would bots be able to get past that? Or is that a paid service?

Capchas failed already. The forum uses a challenge/response, which requires a human. We just need to change the question/answer when the spam starts.
