Building any kind of fireplace,firepit, spit, etc. inside

Why can't I build any kind of cooking thing inside a house in French world?
I have them in houses in the English world.

The fire place (Le foyer) can be built indoors
The spit (la broche) and the small fire pit (Le petit foyer) have to be built outside - For a while they could be built anywhere but this was changed
You can build the more complex ovens as well
