I'm not whingeing, truly!

Postby notsure » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:42 pm

The French world is still overwhelmed with animals. Yesterday we thought we have beaten back the bears, only to find 43 today. Our boar and wolf populations are in the 40s and 50s. We're all going to die!

Someone said that if you hunted everyday, eventually they would thin out, but 4 people who are all 50% or more injured aren't going to do much damage. And this is with wooden shields.

Well, maybe I am whingeing a bit, but can you at least tell me it's possible to survive?

You wouldn't get that many bears and wolves in the same place in the real world. There really ought to be a maximum density for the various animals to prevent too many from appearing in one place.

Like locations only support a couple bears, maybe 10 wolves max, and so on.

No, I think it is the concept of the more of you there are the less likely it is for them to kill you all off.

Hunker down and wait them out. They'll die of old age in a few years ...

The French need some Poles on their island. That would do.
You know, the Poles should have additional weapon, apart from the bare fists. It should be "bare teeth"

Come find us then, Polish charries! We're the bloody, battered ones in the middle of a forest trying to grab enough onions to heal us to at least 50% injured.

In real life they would require a population of herbivores to snack on, for example rabbits. Newspawns kill the rabbits, the wolves starve and travel to better hunting grounds - or start eating people. IRL wolves are pretty shy of humans but they do attack if they're hungry enough.
