Capital Rule and wiki
Am I allowed to use information from the wiki in game? because my caracter has an enciclopidia and there is a section that has been deleted and says moved to Cantr wiki (or something like that).

That section is there because Mr. Nitefyre threw a little tantrum over the wiki gutting the main good bit of his encyclopedia...
No problem using the information, just don't get carried away with it.

I personally don't like the wiki.
I would never have known the order of weapons when ranked by damage,
or known how much each item rots per day
or even about the idea of structural points
None of those things can be found in the game via build menus or anything, they must be discovered by experimentation, which as far as I know goes against the reason for the wiki: to collate all of the build menu information and "common knowledge" into an easy to use reference.
My point is that much of the information was never common knowledge before it was added to the wiki.

I think of the wiki as an equalizer. Weapon rankings and item rot rates (though obviously not hard numbers for either) could and were known to some extent - many players knew that the claymore, crossbow and steel battle axe were the best weapons, and that bone and wood items rotted faster but could also be repaired faster. It was well but not universally known that onions were a good healing food and sugar was not. Some people knew the eating rates of all the common raw and cooked foods by heart.
More experienced players generally knew more of these things - they had done more tool maintenance and seen more foods, and their characters had access to more weapons to compare against each other. The "find out in game" rule prevented this knowledge from being spread between players, maintaining this inequality.
The wiki was created at the same time that FOIG was repealed. If it hadn't been, something like it would have developed, either on an independent Web site or on the forums.
Staff have contributed a lot of hard numbers lately - weapon, shield and resting effectiveness, item rot and repair, vehicle speeds, and animal behavior. None of this is data that could have been discovered by players. However, it was partly visible; players knew that wolves were aggressive and caused significant damage, for example. And I think the benefits of having definite, indisputable values to express that knowledge outweigh the costs of having information in public that is a little too discrete and revealing - I'd rather be able to say "A longboat travels at a base speed of 22 pixels per day" than have to write "A longboat is a bit faster than a ferry and significantly slower than a darter," and I'd rather be able to give hard values for the effectivenesses of the iron carving knife and iron chisel than have to puzzle out inconsistencies between rankings found in-game by different people.

The entry is right... 30g wood and 10g iron, one day to make, no tools... I don't see any recent edits on it...

Yeah ok, but when you search for "tools" it yields this list; http://www.cantr.net/mwiki/index.php/Tools and i recognize some wrong amounts, like for the chisel and perhaps more, the forkspanner looks odd..
