I have been counting down the last few days until I could spawn a new char (according to the messages I was receiving when I tried to spawn).

I should be able to spawn one today but I get this error message:

ERROR: You exceeded the maximum number of characters. You have had at least one young character die recently who is still using one of your character slots. A new character slot should be available in 0 days time. =

Can someone look into this please?

You may still need to wait a fractional day (rounded to zero). Raise a big fuss if it drops to -1.

It is working correctly ... apart from the number of days it reports you would have to wait .. the error is in the error message not the mechanics

Thanks, Chris. Yesterday the 0 changed to a 1 so it should be back to 0 today and I should be a to spawn, I think.

I would check but I can't get into Cantr between the lag and the shutdown for backup.

Edit: OK, now it says 6 days. What is the deal?

The reported figure originally was wrong - PM me your player ID and I'll look into it - If you have any under 25 year olds who died in the last 40 days they count to locking slots - it sounds like you had such a dead character 34 days ago or something like that

Well it counted down from 6 days until I can start a new char and finally got to 0 but when I tried to start a new char it would not let me, once again, and now the message just says 1 more day (for the last three days).

I read your explainations in other threads but didn't understand them. At this point it's not that I'm super anxious to create a new character, I'm just trying to get an idea of when I will be able to. Why can't it just give me an accurate number? Is it going to restart at 40 days everytime I have a young char die? Because all of my chars are young and I am playing them in a riskier way than I have in the past so I have some which are in danger and very well may die especially with these animal attacks.

The figures reported are the ones for the earliest slot to become available
But your slots may still be blocked because of other character who have died in the lats 40 days

Say you had 10 live characters and 6 dead who are blocking slots
The figure reported is for the first of these 6 blocks - the one whihc will clear first - but once thats cleared youstill have 10 live and 5 blocked so the time reported changes

Once 40 days since implementation has passed this will be the actual time to wait before creating a new character- the changing number is a feature you'll only see in the first 40 days.

As I said before if you want to know exactly which characters are blocking slots and for how long send your Player ID to me or to the Players Department and they can let you know.

Also with regards the animal attacks - There have been no increase in animal attacks in the last 24 hours they are the same they have always been - Individual characters may have been more unlucky but overall the number of attacks is unchanged

EDIT: We are 13 days into the first 40 days - so 4 weeks to go

I think it's been more than 40 days now and I still can't make new chars. I don't think I am getting acurate info about when I should be able to make a new one either since it always says that I can make a new one tomorrow.
