Moving Town

The following happened in Seatown
1519-7.31: You see eYe leaving Seatown, taking paved road to Seatown Gardens.
......
1519-7.30: Eyes says: "I need to go find that thief. But don't let this man get away. Deal with him please. "
The problem with this is that the character Eyes is no longer in seatown, though he never appeared to leave. Based on the name I would suspect that the eYe leaving Seatown was indeed the event for Eyes leaving. However, when I click on eYe I get the following renaming option "The current name of this place is eYe. Enter the new name:"
I thought towns couldn't move?
