I need the post with the tables on shield comparisons. I know it was in a thread with a much different title. I've tried searches and can't find it. Can it be stickied once it's found?

...but that weapons list doesn't include the stick broom or shovel... or screwdriver or cooking pot.

Or a fishing spear.
Those would be ~tools~ that happen to do damage when you beat people with them. Most seem to be in the wiki, so you can get a roundabout figure on how much they do.

Which is really off topic as Angelspice was asking for the shield info
But if you look a page or two on in the same thread you will find a post by me detailing damage inflicted by all non-weapon objects
These are all in the Wiki as Agar points out

There are pages for offensive items (weapons and tools that can be used as weapons) and for defensive items (shields, and the halberd):
