Island without resources?

One of my characters found a new island a while ago. However, when he finally found a location to dock to, there were no resources there at all. Bad luck, I thought, and wandered to another location.... same thing there.
Is it a bug? What should I do?

I ran into a new land (to me) and the location I docked to had ... apples. Did some exploring and the location next to it had ... grass. That's all, in each location. Finally found on that had three resources, but no picture for the "Beach" type of location for it.
That was sparse, and seemed odd. A location with none at all ... Did new lands drop the ball on that one?

I's not a bug as such - more like a temporary feature
There are just over 5% of locations where no resources have yet been allocated. WIth the exception of a very small scattering of empty locations, most of these are within one very under explored region. It sounds like your character is travelling in this region. There are plans to populate the region with resources but this is unlikely to happen in the next week or so .

Heh, I just bumped into a landlocked swamp with no resources, and no animals. It is hard to think of a more useless location.

Pie could spawn there.

I found an island with no animals, no road names, and the only two resources I've found so far are potatoes and wheat.

... try an island with nothing but fish and sand.

I'm starting to lose patience here... my character don't have very much food, and may starve to death. Why? Because some land-designers didn't bother to finish their job?
Gah...
Will anything be done about my problem soon?

We're working on it. If you email details about your char, we can see - depending on his/her surroundings - whether we should manually add some food.
Sorry that it takes so long - real lives are taking too much of our time
