Changes in Axe damage??

Changes in Axe damage??

Has there been a change in damge caused by a steel axe?

I ask because one of my characters carries a long bow and an axe and when hunting, before the longbow was the weapon of choice, but now it appears to be the axe?

Has the axe improved??

The steel axe and the longbow have always been equal in strength - There has been no change. There may have been a chnage in name, which meant that the axe appears before the longbow , but not in damage
