Aren't tortoises supposed to have shells?

Postby Marian » Thu Jan 19, 2006 5:01 pm

I finally managed to kill one and I didn't get anything from it! And here my char has really been looking forward to making a shield, did I just get unlucky and kill the one shell-less freak in existence, or is this a bug or what?

Did you have enough space in your inventory? Otherwise, check on the ground.

And I believe the output is slightly random, but if you got nothing because of that, you are seriously unlucky...

Or it could be a bug...

And apologies if I'm wrongfully assuming you might be a newbie. ;)

All tortoises which have been killed in the past 3 or 4 days were killed in locations which now have tortoise shell on the ground, or by characters who are now carrying tortoise shell .

As Helzon recommends, check the ground as well as your inventory

If you still can't find any tortoise shell then PM me with details of your character (name and your player ID ) and I'll look further into the issue.

It seems to me that the inventory must be full and the product in on the ground

Oh...duh! You guys are right, I didn't realize how much stuff I was carrying. Sorry about that!

But wow, Chris, you can actually keep track of things like what animals were killed and where? That's kind of scary. :D

From the snippets I have been priveleged to see of the Cantr database, it is indeed a treasure-trove of the minutae of Cantr trivialities... I'm not sure there's anything that isn't recorded it in somewhere?
