lost steel even on projects

Hello.

My wife has a problem with some project in the dutch area.
Her char had steel in her inventory (christien at Sil) and it disappeared, she also is/was working on a project which needs steel. A dirt motor cycle frame, obviously she worked on it, the project is at 21,6% and now her char has to add 785 grams of steel.

She does not understand this. And I must say, neither do I. *smiles* She's not writing this herself, she still didn't register to the forums and her english is even worse than mine.

If you need anymore information, please ask.

Greetings from Saskia (and me)

Hi Peter,

There has been a bug with the resources, and anyone who has had this affect their characters will receive a note from the Players Department. We, as well as the Programming Department, are frantically working on this, though it will be a few days before all the letters go out unfortunately.

Any resources that people think they are missing were not supposed to be there in the first place, and have been removed. I apologize that we haven't been able to notify players at the time they are removed, but we are working on it.

I would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience.

And please do remember, it is a serious breach of the rules of Cantr to knowingly exploit a bug.

Why would you want to exploit a bug that takes away steel?

Its's usually the case that the bug taketh, and the bugfix giveth nothing back

But hold on...what about the recent disappearing project cock-up? Isn't it possible that people added resources to projects shortly before all the projects disappeared, and the roll-back returned the lost time, but not those lost resourses?

Is it? Isn't it? If it IS possible then some of these losses might be genuine losses.

No it's the other way round in that case - all resources added to what became non-existant projects were returned to the characters . What was lost was the time worked on the now non-existant projects . Time worked on older projects was credited .

i have had this happen, my char has a boat, her own inventory and a building locked as is the boat, and i noticed today when i went to get her iron ore and coal after finishing a smelter... that she was missing certain things, her coal, her iron ore (or hamatite) and a lot of salt (5000 grams i remember cuz it's such a round number) nobody else has any keys either so i know it was the bug
