A friend of mine lost his account. He has been On leave for 2 weeks, came back, turned off On Leave, did few things in Cantr and logout.

He wake up next morning and found his account deleted. Other players noticed his characters died.

Please help him recover (account no. is 31409) and maybe do some to avoid such problems in future.

Dead characters can't be recovered...

Everything can be recovered. It's just the matter of time, effort, determination and sometimes faith.

In this case an apropriate changes to a database can be commited. Database backup could be used to retrive some date. If that deletion was caused not by player but program, then I think that player deserves recover because he spent a lot of time on playing them and lost his account without his fault.

You propose to time would be backed up just because one player lost his account? How about other players? Everyone would be affected and confused. I have lost my account twice when I went to hospital and it was not on "on leave" and I don't cried after that "hey, please back up the game". Maybe PD could recover his chars looking into database with their names and ages but without items from they inventory and remove their bodies or burial projects, but it would be big interferention into the game. Other chars then should think that resurrection is possible? Or maybe he unsubscribed from Cantr by accident, or someone hacked his account? Or it is just a bug in "on leave" system. Well, sh** happens, but why he can't just create new account?

I see your point, you're right. Your case however was different, this player did everything correctly to keep his account, you didn't (I know - you were in hospital, but I hope you see my point).

I don't know what's better - recover good player's account (items could be cloned) and confuse some others or to leave it as it is. PD will decide (and I think decision will be as you said, bad luck to this player).

I hope this case will be investigated well to keep such thing not happenig.

Death is death, it's unfortunate but as the deaths were witnessed by other people, reviving these characters might cause some Jesus effect (- hey, didn't we just bury you?) You can't inform all involved anyway and make them realize they would have to ignore the deaths they had seen. But what must be done is a check on what's wrong, and it needs to be fixed so that other incidents like this could be prevented. If we can't even trust the power of "on leave"... panic!

How are you sure marol that he did everything correctly? Maybe he deleted his accont by mistake or on purpose. Do you think that hospital are the same as vacation? I was in hospital in accident but not on vacation. On vacation you can find place with internet access with some effort. Well, I'm now in PD so I can investigate this case. But i don't have much to say, as I'm new member. My characters don't belive in resurrection, so it would be something odd. Especially than most of Polish Players know that one of his characters was a priest because he told about events in LL broking 4 days rule.

EDIT: He said on Polish forum, that he was set "on leave" to 14 days, and he returned to the game after 16th day, and in 17th day his account was deleted. So, maybe this was his fault? I suppose he had to set "on leave" to more than 16 days if he returned on 16th day after settng "on leave"

Just to put peoples minds at rest there is no problem with the On-leave function . This account did not time out
